Do you mean in Houston, or what? If not, then I think you are seriously exagerrating. A team that was ravaged by injuries while still in a rebuilding process does not merit the label as the "poorest excuse for a professional team in a long time." I'm sorry, but that's just silly.
DCKid, My emphasis is on the concept of TEAM. This implies sharing the ball, help defense, maturity, giving 150% effort every game...stuff like that. We have a collection of players NOT A TEAM; and I haven't seen much progress over the course of the season. Dallas Rocket
I can't agree more with Robertson, as harsh as it may be. The Truth hurts! But will Rudy or anybody in the Houston Rockets organization even consider his banter as fact and build on it? Maybe finally realize that isolation basketball is not basketball! I forgot how fun basketball was to watch until March Madness kicked in again. I actually had a lot of fun watching the Memphis game the other night, because they weren't selfish and Tierre was doing a great job of moving the game. I can only pray the Rockets will do something over the summer to kick start their play. Howyalikemenow
I used to think that the majority of the blame should go to Rudy, but not anymore........ I know how important a good coach is, but it's the players that have to play and personally improve their game, as well as their mental aspect towards the game. I just don't see that happening with this team.....at least this year. And about the ISO.......yes many teams use this......why wouldn't they.......Tmac, Pierce, Kobe, Duncan, Garnett, etc. Thing is though, they don't ISO 85% of the time. You won't see Tmac ISO on the left or right side of the court on the majority of the plays the Magic run. Same goes for the other SUPERSTARS on the other teams. Other than the fact that we don't have an offense, a defense, over all basketball intelligence, we don't have a SUPERSTAR. Someone that can get you the defensive stop, put the weight of the team on his shoulder's every night, have a bad game, but will come through in the 4th quarter, etc......all the stuff that makes SUPERSTARS what they are.
I agree with the article 100% ...... I think that he said what many fans are thinking .... I hope that some in the Rockets organization will read it and take it seriously .....
