Just got a wii... What games are good?

    Howdy all,

    I just got a wii for xmas. Anyone suggest some games? I'm not big into those Guitar Hero games and what not, I prefer action/adventure and first person shooter. How are those wii guns? I hear Super Smash Brothers is pretty good. Anyone play Metroid or Zelda?

    Smash, Metroid, Zelda, like you said.

    Super Mario Galaxy is a must have. Resident Evil 4 is a great pick up. Also, Zack and Wiki is cheap and incredibly fun (it's a puzzle point and click).

    1) Metroid Prime 3
    -Super Smash Bros
    -Mario Kart
    -Tiger Woods
    -SSX Blur

    Anyone tried NBA Live 09 on the Wii? Got it for Christmas and haven't tried it yet.

    elebits is a cool little game. weird but fun.

    Boomblox is pretty neat and anyone can play.

    Resident Evil 4, it's an old game, but still awesome (and cheap)

    Mario Galaxy is amazing.

    Mario Galaxy is by far the best game on the Wii. Metroid Prime 3 is great as well. Twilight Princess is decent, and if you haven't played Resident Evil 4 yet, pick that up as that was one of the best games of the PS2/Xbox/Gamecube era.

    I hear that there are these things called "party games" for the Wii that can be fun - anyone know what those are? I just picked up Raving Rabbids for my kid - the reviews on it are great.

    Super Mario Kart is pretty fun. My kids love Super Smash Brothers but I can't imagine ever wanting to play it. Super Mario Galaxy is a must.
