First of all I know the internet is not a good place to ask medical advice so don't flame me for asking. Anyway, for the past 2 weeks or so I've had some pain on the left side of chest from around my nipple to my underarm. It kind of feels like heartburn and it's on and off for the most part but sometimes it will hurt for a while. I've also noticed that if I look straight down it hurts even worse in that area which makes me think it might be a pulled muscle. It might have something to do with how I sleep because I always wake up with a stiff/sore neck. Anyone had this happen? I'll probably go to the doctor if it doesn't get any better because I don't want to have anything to do with my heart.
Two years ago, I had this weird feeling on the left side of my chest as well It seemed like there was pressure on it. I wouldn't call it painful, because it was bearable, but I guess you could call it an abnormal stiffness. This continued for a while, by the 3rd day I was seriously contemplating that I suffered a heart attack. Luckily, the feeling subsided and everything returned to normalcy, I still don't know what the problem was.
I thought the thread said Palin on the left side of my chest...I thought you got a tattoo of sarah palin on your chest
How old are you? When was the last time you checked your blood pressure and cholesterol/TG levels? These questions will pretty much tell you your risk for any serious cardiovascular problems, which can manifest at times like heart burn. If you are young and in decent shape, then you likely have nothing to worry about. If not, well, you should start seeing a doctor regularly.
take your blood pressure, go to walmart and use that machine in the pharm department. It would be a good starting point.
