Sup Clutchfans, I have a few questions for y'all and many of you seem very knowledgeable so I'm looking for mature responses here

    1) If Lamar Odom was available for a trade RIGHT NOW. Would you want him? If yes, what would you give up his return?

    2) If Lamar Odom was available for a trade BEFORE THE 3 GAME WINNING STREAK, would you still have wanted him? If yes, what players would you part with, in return?

    Too expensive, can't fit.

Nice point forward though, Fakers just suck too much to use him correctly.

im pretty sure he stilll has his value if there is a bigger role for him on another team. like playing him with the starting lineup, hes being a jerk rite bc hes comin off the bench...
but dont want him on this team tho.hes never played to his full potential, never worked hard to get better...
rather stay with AB and Landry...

He's a massive expiring contract and still has plenty of game left. For those reasons his value is pretty high. He won't end up a Rocket but i'm sure the Lakers will try something involving him before the trade deadline.

No & no. LO is a head case who epitomizes mental weakness. His performance the last couple of games is disgraceful. The worst thing is that no physical issues are involved; it's purely a lack of effort and concentration on his part.

I've given up on him. He's a very talented piece of garbage who leaves his head at home on a regular basis.

The thing is if we don't make a trade ASAP, the incoming player is going to struggle with the transition. The Triangle offense is not easy to learn and it takes months (Gasol was a huge exception). So if we make a trade around the deadline, the player has less than half the season to get himself acquainted with the offense and with the playoffs approaching, it will put an insane amount of pressure on him. This is why Coach Jackson has strongly discouraged making mid season trades

But then again LO's trade value is not high right now so we don't want to make a deal in a rush knowing better players are available at the deadline

    its a tough situation

Maybe you could swing a Maggette for Odom deal...yea that's about where his trade value is. The thing is he has so much talent but just not mentally tough enough to put it all together.

Sorry pal - but that's about the amount of trade value that Odom has!

If the Lakers plan to move him then his greatest value is as an expiring - and perhaps they could bring in a 'semi star' from a team looking to rebuild and jettison a large contract.

I wouldn't think any team wanted to add Odom as a 'crucial peice'

Odom for Battier would be interesting. Rockets need height and rebounding while the Lakers need some tough defense. It would benefit both teams. Lamar is overpaid though.

Morey would be insane to make that trade. Odom's contract is expiring, which is a good thing for whoever would get him in a trade. Like was just said, his expiring contract is the best thing about him.
