I've already been through Kerry Collins, so from the bottom of my heart I can tell you that he will eventually choke your dreams away.

The Titans will not win the Super Bowl, and I'd bet every cent I have on it.

I'm so happy they stomped on the terrible towel.

Cheeseburger Lendale is gonna get his head ripped off when they play again.

That is Mr. Cheeseburger Lendale to you... We love our double cheeseburger Lendale along with his 15 TDs...

You know you guys had Kerry and he played like crap for you guys... Seems like it is more the team than it had to do with Kerry playing QB for the Raiders.

Seems like anyone that goes to the Raiders sucks...

Lamont Jordon seemed to also have a pretty good game today... Randy Moss also seemed to have a pretty decent few season since he left the Raiders. Wow... Go figure...

Good luck with your free agent spending.. Who was it that you guys paid all that money too on the D.Line. Don't even know the jokers name. Also did you guys also trade for some cornerback from the Falcons, payhim a boatload of money and on top of that trade a 2nd round pick? Than cut him????

Enjoy your Raiders... Raider Nation... Don't worry stay on the Steelers bandwagon... The Titans are doing just fine with the team they have..

I'm not on any bandwagon, just calling it like I see it.

The Titans made a big mistake today by doing what they did, mark my words.

I'm not an NFL guru for jumping on bandwagons.

The Raiders are a horrific team right now and it is all Al Davis' fault. You get no argument from me there, and you don't even know the half of how bad this football team is.

Because we all know that regular season success against a team guarantees playoff success. I mean after beating the Giants twice last year, there was no way the Giants could beat the Cowboys in the playoffs, right? And why did they even play the Super Bowl last season since the Patriots had already proven they were the better team, right?

Your arrogant attitude in this thread pretty much epitomizes the Titans. Lendale White, is that you?

Sorry Moe... Reading this thread just now got my juices flowing... It is typical and very expected... We Titans fans get very little respect and when we finally knock off a top team the focus is not on the win but how we disrespected a sacred hanky... Are you freaking kidding me... It is not like Lendale threw his cleats at the President... It is a freaking hanky... If the Steelers fans do not like that than keep it out of the TITANS home stadium.... Oh they could also try and worry more about their O-line.. Jason Jones got 3.5 sacks and 3 forced fumbles and he is a rookie playing without our two all pro D lineman... So I say the Steelers have bigger worries on their hands than worrying about some freaking dishrag... The Steelers have a great D... But they can be beat.. Just like every other team in the playoffs. Every team in the playoffs has its weaknesses.. I am just glad the Titans have the opportunity to play at home... :)

The Titans were the 12-2 team and were the underdog at HOME... So I am just fine with Lendale throwing that damn dishrag on the ground... I do not see what the big deal is... Keith Bulluck said "Terrible Towel more like Terrible Steelers". But I am sure that is already been posted to the Steelers bulletin board already.. Give me a freaking break.. Good thing the Titans were motivated to play this game and show the NFL that this team is for real...

Oh sorry.. Facts hurt... Titans won a big game today!!! Sorry for being a tad bit excited...

Back to ESPN... Dallas Cowboys still have a chance to make the playoffs.. Brett Farve is still Great... New England Patriots can still make the playoffs... Peyton is the MVP and should be favored to win it all...

    Sounds about right...

Arrogant... The Titans are the #1 seed in the AFC... That is because they earned the best record so pardon me as I continue to enjoy the victory and a great season!!!

While we are talking post season. I can see a Titans vs Panthers Super Bowl... That is my pick along with a Titans victory in a very close game...

Smash and Dash vs Identity and Theft.... :p Identity and Theft are playing some great ball so far against the Giants...

    Gotta love Bulluck!!!! :D

(on there being footage of him stomping on the “Terrible Towel”)

"I don’t care. I don’t care. Once it gets down to playoffs and stuff like that, it just is what it is. My team has been in a position of where it has been down for years and we’ve gradually come back to the top. I don’t care, you know what I’m saying. I really don’t care and it’s not disrespect to the Pittsburgh Steeler players or anything like that because there are a lot of great football players over there and coaches that I have a tremendous amount of respect for. But that’s just our stand. Anybody that’s going to come through here in the playoffs, we plan to stomp them out. That has to be our stand."

Using your blind logic shouldn't people have been arguing Cowher was a "great playoff coach too" before Superbowl XL? I mean, using this logic Cowher had already been to a Superbowl before he won one. That equals greatness, right? Wrong. Cowher was everybody's whipping boy. "Cowher = choker. Blah blah blah". Jeff Fisher should be treated no differently and that's placing aside the simple fact that Cowher is a better coach in the first place.

Oh please. This is the first big game the majority of experts/analysts thought the Steelers would actually win. Figures, right? Thanks but no thanks. I like being the underdog and given that the Colts and Titans beat the Steelers they will certainly be "underdogs" if/when they meet again.

It's not "hate" either. I tip my hat to the Titans. They were the better team today. They were able to match the Steelers physicality and played mistake-free which ended up being the difference in the game.

Could things have played out differently? Anybody that watched the game knows the Steelers outgained the Titans and were able to move the ball. The game definitely isn't as one-sided as the box score indicates.

    1) Fumble at the one yard line....
    2) Missed FG
    3) Back-breaking unsportsmanlike conduct penalty that resulted in a 1st and goal at the one yard line. That was essentially four free points right there.

Even if you take away the dumbest and most braindead of those mistakes (unsportsmanlike conduct) that completely changes the dynamic of the game. Titans make the FG its a 20-14 game with the Steelers driving in the final minutes. Instead of hurrying to try to get two scores you're instead playing for one score and possibly the game winning TD.

I'm not making excuses because, again...the Titans outplayed them and deserved to win. All i'm saying is this game easily could have played out differently. To act like it was a complete blowout or a Titans win was never in question is completely untrue. But again....they won and deserved it. Congrats, it was probably the biggest regular season win in franchise history. I could be wrong on that but either way -- enjoy it.

Being that you are a Steeler fan I wanted to know your opinon of the stepping on the terrible towel incident.

It was a big win. Not sure if I would go so far as to say biggest regular season win. On one hand you say you are not making excues. Hmmm.. But you are overlooking the fact that the Titans defense ended up causing many of the turnovers that decided this game. Not to mention that the Titans were the only team this season to have over 300+ yards on the vaunted Steelers defense. So the offense came ready to play as well.

Time to put this game behind and get ready to close out the season in Indy.

Like you reference above. I love the Titans being the underdog and not having any of the "NFL insiders" feeling they can win the ultimate prize. Many picked the Titans to finish dead last in their own division at the start of the season.

I'm not sure what more motivation you need than "win or go home." Both teams are going to be fired up for this game should they meet again, should be a fun game to watch.

Well, I was fine until that happened. Griffin didn't need to run the INT back but I wasn't going to nit-pick. I had accepted the loss and was fine with that until I saw the Terrible Towels being mocked. Especially by Fatdale -- I guess his three yards a carry and world's cheapest TD gives you room to talk smack? I don't know. All I know is I would love to play the Titans again and get revenge. We'll see how things play out.

P.S. Ask the Bengals in the lone year anybody took them seriously how well the "Wipe your a$$ with a Terrible Towel" card played out for them.

They're not excuses, just pointing out stupid errors. Stupid errors that were nobody's fault but the Steelers. Again, I give the Titans all the credit in the world for outplaying the Steelers. And yes, the Titans defense did force plenty of TO's but the point is even those weren't enough to put the game out of reach until the very end.

Speculating about how the game could have changed if a few boneheaded mistakes at critical junctures played out differently isn't making excuses. The Titans D didn't cause the missed FG. The Titans D didn't cause the unsportsmanlike conduct call. All i'm doing is putting things into perspective for those that didn't watch the game. This definitely wasn't a blowout nor was it as one-sided as the box score indicates.

Yeah it's hard to get up for the AFC championship game and a chance to go to the super bowl - unless somebody steps on a yellow piece of cloth. Oh then it's on baby it's on.

You think the Ravens have a psychological advantage over the Titans because of what happened when they faced off in the playoffs like 7 years ago? How many players are left on either team since then?

It's amazing how winning one Super Bowl can make everybody forget your entire career up to that point. If the Colts hadn't won it all a couple of years ago, would you really be predicting Peyton Manning to take out one of the best defenses in the league in a playoff game on the road?
