LOL - get over it. I follow them only because they are the old Houston Oilers.....I like them just about the same as the Texans.....when they play each other, I am torn...not sure who to root for.... Unlike some, I don't blame Bud Adams, he is a fraternity brother, and a guy I have met and enjoyed talking to....I have no animosity for him leaving, I blame Bob Lanier and the city for calling what they thought was a bluff... And, I still like Jeff Fisher, I think they win it all this year...they have to be the favorites, Bud deserves a ring for bringing football to Houston in 1960. DD
The Titans are a good team and probably the front runner right now, but I see the obvious "one and done #1 seed" written all over them. Especially, if they face, Indy, Baltimore, or the Patriots.
Wow. Stomping on the terrible towel. The Steelers are going to be extremely fired up when they meet in the playoffs now. Good move dumbasses.
LOL - are you kidding me.....I just know this has to be sarcasm....because no amount of talking or stomping on a towel will make one bit of difference the playoffs are their own motivating factor. DD
You don't fire up a pissed off defense. You don't ever give them any more motivation to come out and kick your ass. If these teams meet again, I'm betting Steelers all the way.
... and without Big Albert Haynesworth, Kyle Vanden Bosch (and backup DT Vickerson) on the D-line for this game!
If the Oilers had never left Houston... and they have this type of season... wouldn't the consensous be "They'll find a way to blow it.... they have to, they're the Oilers!" ??!? Just because they went to Tennessee and changed their name doesn't change the inner-karma that will forever be attached to this team. The higher up they are... the more spectacularly they have a chance to fall/fail. The fact that they decide to stomp on the terrible towel?!? Idiocy and arrogance combined in one... goes right in line with their comments after they got their asses handed to them last week. Didn't take the Texans seriously? Please... they were commiting enough personal fouls and penalties to simply avoid falling further behind. And, Kerry Collins is inconsistent. He was OK this week... terrible last week (and not because he didn't take the Texans seriously). Maybe he's great the first round, and then proceeds to be terrible afterwards. Only one team ever won with this much arrogance... and that was 1985 Chicago Bears (which Jeff Fisher was a part of)... and they were one of the greatest teams EVER (maybe the greatest). The Tennesee Titans are NOT the 1985 Chicago Bears.
just like all the other morons that bet steelers all the way today, was easy money, when you see the line move from titans -1.5 to steelers -2 it almost guaranteed a titans victory. ALWAYS BET AGAINST WHAT THE MAJORITY BETS. VEGAS ALWAYS WINS
Ha ha...because we all know that Harrison, Hines Ward, and Woodley never talk smack. Oh, by the way, Haynesworth and Vanden Bosch didn't play today, either. They are pretty good, from what I recall.... Also, someone was talking smack about Fisher's record in the playoffs. Is it really that bad? Not being sarcastic, but if memory is correct, it ain't all that bad. I know they went to the Super Bowl once, AFC championship game against the Raiders once....They've struggled recently, but those were years where they were low seeds anyway.
the titans "used to be the old oiler team", but they arent anymore. They are just another team. I love jeff fisher, but this titans team bother me with some of the seemingly classless things they do.
I am not going to even post in the texans game thread, but its funny to see how quickly everyone is bashing the team again. losing to the raiders? ouch..
I realized this post was not to be taken seriously when you claim that the only team ever more arrogant than the Titans were the 85 Bears. Wow....Just wow. There was this team in the 90's that played in Dallas. They were known as the Cowboys. They had a fellow named Deion Sanders, and also a wide receiver named Michael Irvin. You are letting your hatred for the Titans cloud your rational thinking. Not that there's anything wrong with that. By the way, congrats to the Texans for winning last week. They deserved it. They played better that day. With that said, people continue to dismiss the Titans as pretenders. That's fine. I think it's a mistake, but that's their prerogative.
Yeah, jeff fisher is a great playoff coach. He brought the titans back in the superbowl to one of the greatest games ever. Actually, the team I am worried about as a titan fan are the ravens. I still think that the lingering defeat the last time the titans had a chance to get to the superbowl that the ravens believe that they are more physical than the titans and that they can manhandle them. They almost did it when the titans played them this year. I just know that the ravens are going to somehow figure into the titans plans.
Why? It looks like it's setting up to be a 2nd round matchup between the Titans and the Colts. Facing the hottest team in the league with the best quarterback in the league, that's a recipe for disaster and it's going to be an early exit for the Titans this season. I honestly can't wait either, it's gonna be quite fun watching this incredibly arrogant team go down. Enjoy it now thumbtack fans, that first-round bye is the closest you will come to a playoff victory this year.
With all due respect. I think our D is better than the Steelers... This whole week I have been hearing the National media crown the Steelers as the best team in the AFC... Big Ben this and Big Ben that... You keep betting on the Steelers like the rest of the national media. Every last one of them. Harrisment, Baller4life, love all the hate... Please keep it coming. Oh L. White stommped on the yellow dishrag... Boo freaking hoo... So many fans and media types got their panties in a wad over stommping on the yellow hanky... It is not the National flag so get over it. If the Steelers are worried about the Titans stommping on their yellow rag than they have bigger worries. Baller4life is making every freaking excuse you can imagine... Steelers turn the ball over.. Guess what.. The Titans are one of the top teams in turnover margin... This is how they win... They forced turnovers today and Big Ben played like crap without Albert and KVB... Please, please bring back the Steelers to Nashville so we can kick their butts again. The rest of you haters who continue to rag on fans because they like the Titans can continue your hating and enjoy your offseason... The Titans are on the well deserved #1 seed. The Ravens, beat them. The Colts, beat them, the Steelers, beat them.. Ps - Oakland Raiders..... The Texans lost to the freaking Raiders... Enjoy the offseason... But, on the bright side their is always next season!!!
The Colts. Thats right. The team that the Titans already beat this season in Nashville. Let me see. The Colts must now be the #1 team the media has their arms wrapped around as the best team in football now that the Steelers lost today. If the Colts happen to get past their first round opponent the Titans are very familiar with their division foe... I love it.. Keep the love flowing for everyone other than the Titans. The Colts no longer own this division and the Titans are not scared of the Colts any longer. Bring on the playoffs.... Just bring it on!!!!
