Look at what the rox did to Dwade this year. Same thing with Lebron, play back and let him shoot threes. If Rox can shut down Dwade, they can limit Lebron.
Yes. Artest was guarding Wade, and he should definitely be on LeBron. Similar body types. Battier should take on a shooter like Wally.
The schedule couldn't be worse. Facing one of the best teams in the NBA in a back to back as part of a 4 games in 5 days road trip. The guy at NBA HQ who makes up the schedules should be shot, not looking forward to this at all. That team brings it at both ends and you can't be facing them in the last game of a brutal road trip when you need all your energy.
i just hope your forward thinking isnt the same as the players. not sure why you would make a statement of sitting out tmac because battier can be effective defensively and then proceed to bash his defense. worthless thread imo
If you actually check our record against the Cavs in the LeBron era, they have a great deal of trouble w/ us. Even though LeBron goes off on us, we do a good job of shutting down the others so I still don't think beating the Cavs means any more than beating any other team. I still think we have the right pieces (minus another good rebounder and a little more height). We just need time to gel and get over the injury hump.
um, the measuring stick shouldn't be this team. this team has a great record b/c they have a ridiculously easy schedule, no injuries, and extremely focused. they still haven't beaten the top teams from last yr (detroit even, boston, hornets). until we beat the lakers/celtics, we're not contenders yet.
lebron is just as fast as wade, but stronger, taller, and more athletic. so no, lebron is harder to stop. we just gotta mix up some zone to stop lebron.
Im watching the Cavs right now and they are weak defensively at the pg and sg posistion. Of course they are lighting it up from three point land against OKC but it's all because they are doubling Lebron. I say let Battier and Artest go against Lerbron one on one and let him have the jumper. Westbrook is abusing Williams on the offensive side of the ball as we speak. Let Lebron have his and limit their role players and we should be ok.
LOLS. I don't know why but that had me cracking up. Who else can't wait? I can. The more days off we have to rest our players and get them healthy the better. If I had time-space ability I'd freeze time for the Rox team for 2 months and get them healthy and used to Adelman's offense before the Cavs game.
Good game to measure ourselves, however, the only measurinng stick is the C's. Everyone else like us are trying to catch up to them. They are sitting at 18 in a row.
4th game in 5 days. Don't take it personal if the Rockets get cleaned off the court. Take what you can get and live with it. I'm crossing my fingers for the New Jersey game.
