P DIDDY is a smart businessman.

You've got to give props to that. If you don't, you're just a "hater" aka.. Jealous. He's definitely full of himself which might be why I don't like him that much but douche-bag is a strong word. He's not a straight up loser in the traditional sense. He's successful and good at what he does.

Cosign. Diddy isn't the best rapper, but he is an ace at everything else related to music.

Diddy came up thinking ahead of everyone, smartly sensing products people wanted then delivering it to them. Once you do that, sometimes it takes ambition, courage, and sometimes a bit of ignorance more than outright intelligence.

Just like Donald Trump and a lot of owners, he got caught up in all the excesses and there wasnt any turning back. Still a douche overall. But its helped him remain mildy relevant more than the Master P's of the hip hop world.

Look, the guy obviously did something right to be where he is, but he is a douche. He is annoying.

He didn't invent the remix. If you mean sampling, that was done long before him. Dre really did that well.

He is a good promoter, but if anything that shows how great Biggie was. He was so good that his success carried puffy to everything he is now.

Again the douche is a great business man, but he should stop trying to market himself.

Its not jealousy, to say that is stupid. Jay Z has millions and goes home to Beyonce and I like the dude. There are tons of people out there who are successful who I wish the best for, he is just not one of them.

bad boy that's right, yeah, harlem world, uh huh, yeah. mami ven aqui?

I used to like the guy in the late 90's, but things changed. Once he started attacking acne with proactive, I knew that our priorities were no longer the same.

I think he means putting out a song than a remix to that song (i.e. two hits for one), not sampling. I don't remember remix's being as successful until he got in the game.

    Puffy was successful before Biggie.

Why...it's obviously working. I can't really think of 5 more popular rappers. especially ones with his crossover appeal. Jay Z, Kanye and???

Give me J Lo over Beyonce any day. I mean, Beyonce is more successful than any woman Puff has ever bagged....but it's not like the chicks hanging from his arms are lames.

    Don't forget "Ciroc Obama"

Actually, Diddy's Dad was an associate of Frank Lucas. Also, it's widely believed that he ordered the shooting of Tupac (not the Vegas one where he passed away, but the one before at the studio where he survived).

Maybe. Again I think he is a great promoter and can squeeze everything he can out of something.

Yes, but how many people knew who he was before he was running around in BIG's videos?

I'm not saying some people don't buy into it, I just don't like it. I guarantee you many more people don't either. I honestly don't know of another rapper/producer/douche that people are more annoyed by than him.

You can have her. She's annoying too. By your same earlier logic, Beyonce must be doing something right as she's pretty popular thses days still. You don't see much out of Lopez.

Basically, I admit he's done some things right and he does have some talent as a business person. I also admit that he seems like a major, top ten uber-douche.

I still believe I've haven't seen too many people do so much with so little. If that doesn't inspire people and show what opportunity is in this country, I don't know what will.

Dude, he probably makes as much if not more money just being Diddy than from some of his other business ventures. Diddy is as much a brand as Nike or Sony and you don't get that way by hiding in the corner. He promotes himself pretty aggresively and there are just as many people who eat it up as there are who don't like it. Otherwise the guy would not be worth a couple hundred million and would not be paid millions for appearances.

it wasn't until a recent Bill Maher interview that I was able to diagnose Diddy Combs with mental problem that impedes his ability to speak correctly/make sense whatsoever.. I'm serious, the guy cannot put together a coherent sentence.. we're not talking grammar-wise here, we're talking pure logic, the guy has none.. he makes Josh Howard sound like a scholar..

    in addition, he needs braces.

I hate the guy, took advantage of BIG, and there's pretty damning evidence that he was behind the Pac shooting...

"I didn't want no pimples on my face, Imma be straight up, that's why I started using proactive"

"it preserves my sexy, and then I'm off to do what I need to do"

Doesn't he refer to himself in third person too?

    Douche.

    Successful douche, but douche nonetheless.
