This has to be the worst trade scenario in the entire thread. I usually ignore the bad ones but this one is just that bad...

We give away our starting PG, backup PG and starting PF for a FOURTH small forward???

I'm so confused by this proposal that I actually want to know what your logic was? Maybe somebody can help you before you post your next idea.

And the last post on the previous page is nothing short of completely gay.

Then again, look who the owner is...

I like Camby, but what about Rasheed Wallace? I think he would be an even better fit since he can step back and hit threes. He's available, too.

Robertas Javtokas. One of the best defensive bigs in Europe. 7', 270 lbs, physical and atheletic, once dunked on 12 foot rim in an exhibition. Was drafted by the Spurs years ago, who holds his rights. I believe he currently plays for Dynamo Moscow and his contract expires at the end of the season.

Of course... the alleged scientist of basketball, who b****es endlessly about adding atheleticism, knows nothing about the guy, except that his picture is "gay."

This is worse than his last one, which he had us giving up Brooks, Alston, a pick and cash for Magette.

Giving up our starting PG & PF, tho? Ouch.

What do you guys think of getting Anthony Randolph from GSW? Read from realgm that he was available.

He would add that length, ball-handling, like a Lamar Odom type of player.

I was thinking about this combination:

    Houston Rockets give:
    Luther Head
    Von Wafer
    Joey Dorsey

    Golden State Warriors give:
    Marco Belinelli
    Anthony Randolph

Then we sign Deke back. That would be awesome for the Rockets.

Hope Santa gives the Houston Rockets a wonderful gift this Christmas with a great trade :)

The way brooks is playin' its time for Rafer to have a seat on the bench or get traded. He has value, and may land an average big man. Brooks can start, Head can come in, Stevie might help, we still have barry who can run the point, even Mcgrady. Bye Skip.

I have no help. But we all want Deke. I bet San Antonio didn't look at Luther Head the same way again.

    Spurs get:
    Luther Head

    We get:
    cash

I tried my best on this one.

I think both would fit well. However I think that having Camby would beef up our defense alot and allow Yao to get rest when needed. I think our defense will ultimately make or break us. That said if we could give up any combination of scola, hayes, rafer, head, barry for either one I would do it. That said if either one is available I think we should definitely be exploring them as options.

If we are not going to re-sign Deke, we still need a big back-up center.

Oklahoma City has a glut of centers and are rumored to be ready to sign another.

Looking at merely stats there is one of their centers that stands out.

Mouhamed Sene, an athletic 7' center with not much experience with a high upside.

According to the Hollinger report, he is rated as #4 in the league with per 40 minutes projections.

According to NBA.com his effeciency rating on 48 minutes projections puts him #4 in the league; with 36.2 points, 19.2 rebounds & 4.26 blocks.

He could be traded for with either Luther Head or Steve Francis, Oklahoma City is loaded with bigs and has few guards.

We have enough bigs to allow him to be brought along slow, and he could be an emergency back-up center in case of injuries.

His potential could pay off. Good coaching and someone good to train with could make this work.

    What do you think?

I'm not sure they'd take Head or Francis or somebody like that. They might. They did the Ray Allen trade. But, that would be a great trade for us too. I'd like it for a Christmas gift. I like that idea.

Alston for Lowry (Rockets cut $3.73M)
Memphis are under the salary cap, salaries don't have to match.

Head for Jawai + Solomon (waive) + Adams (waive/non-guaranteed)

    Brooks, Lowry, Francis
    McGrady, Barry, Wafer
    Battier, Artest
    Scola, Landry, Dorsey
    Yao, Deke, Hayes, Jawai

That's another way of doing it. This should get a lot of attention. It should. With the money that we are saving, we could also get hendrix too.

    Another way of doing it:

    Portland Gets:
    2009 2nd round pick(from MEM)

    Rockets Get:
    Cash from POR

I know that we wouldn't have a draft pick in 2009 if this trade happened. But, we would get Deke this way.

    Battier for Pryzbilla straight up.

Both teams win in this simple trade. Blazers get a winner/veteran/smart player with good attitude to help guide this young inexperienced team. Battier would be the perfect remedy to the Blazers melting down in the second half and missing the playoffs. Besides they could really use another 3 point specialist and lock down defender with the loss of James Jones from last year and the sometimes bone-headed lapses of Travis Outlaw.

Rockets get a legit 7'1, physical, rebound hording, paint defending back up to limits Yao's minutes and serve as an insurance policy for Yao going down (knock on wood) since chances of Deke returning are slim.

An ideal situation would be to limit Yao's minutes to about 25-30 mpg until mid April. Then he can really step on it and be fresh for our Championship run. We can give Joel anywhere from 18-22 minutes. Just look at his PER. The guy flat out produces when he's in the game.

Battier is one of the more overrated players on this board. His career averages with the Rockets is around 9.2 ppg/ 3.2 reb/ 2 assits. Not exactly a Money Ball type player. Yes, yes I know he brings those extra "intangibles" but intangibles only go so far.

We NEED Joel when the playoffs come. If we play the Jazz I have a fear we will get out-rebounded to death again by the Jazz. Rebounding and giving up 2nd chance opportunities to them was our Achilles Heel the last 2 years we lost to them. Also Joel can step out and defend Okur outside if need be.

If we play the Hornets I'd be worried about West/Chandler combo being too much for Yao alone. Same with the Suns with Amare/Shaq. If we play the Lakers a Bynum/Gasol duo would be detrimental for Yao to handle without another legit big man and NO Hayes/ Scola/ Landry do NOT count.

This is a trade that I absolutely feel Morey needs to at least try and contact Pritchard about.
