realized i can watch it on nfl.com about 15 minutes ago. all i gotta say is... BWAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAAAA!!!!
SWEEEEET!!! Seeing them lose in such a humiliating fashion to close out Texas Stadium was awesome! I can't even remember the name of that fat fullback that ran 82 yards.
hmmm the Cowboys missing the playoffs would be shocking. I still think they will get in but I i hope I'm wrong
I think the Cowboys will somehow sneak into the playoffs, remember, all they have to do is end up in a two or three way tie and they are in. Also, TB and Atlanta have to win out, and both have some tough games tomorrow.
does it really matter if the cowboys sneak in? i mean...the only thing they are really good at is losing in dramatic fashion. why would that formula change just because it's a playoff game? this was touted as a playoff game...and look what happened. Romo didn't even show up for the first three quarters. The D didn't show up when Romo did show up. I'm a fan of this team...but this was a horrible loss in a huge game. This was a time to shine...and they blew it. No reason at all to think this team will do anything in the playoffs. They really don't deserve to go. I don't think they win in Philly. Knowing the Cowboys...they will probably get in with a loss in Philly...and choke another playoff game in dramatic fashion. This team lacks discipline...and that is on the coaches. Also, the offense is just too streaky and part of that is on Romo having consistency issues...along with the offensive line. However, got to give the Ravens' D credit. They manhandled us for three quarters. Obviously, our D seriously failed us there at the end...to create a final memory for that stadium which is not good. I say blow the place up.
I was at Wings to Go and was surrounded by an estimated 50 Cowboy fans. The scene was absolutely hysterical after those two runs. I actually called the 82 yard run and won some money. LOL!
The lack of discipline is on the meddling owner who hired a puppet coach who really doesn't have authority to keep players in line because they know the meddling owner is the real authority. Romo's late season fades make me wonder if he's the real deal. But maybe when they get rid of TO he'll do like Eli Manning did when Tiki Barber and Jeremy Shockey disappeared. Tonight, I envy you Lil Pun.
The other part of the problem w/ the offense is Jason "Red Jesus" Garrett. You say the Ravens manhandled the 'boys for 3 quarters and i say BS. Tashard was TORCHING them almost every time he touched the ball and yet Red Jesus decides to abandon the run. Now I could understand that if he had figured out a way to beat Rex Ryans cover 2 but no, it took him 3 quarters to figure that out. Hmm, maybe I'll look for Witten between the safeties down the middle of the field. AAAaargh. The Dallas D did all they could but by the 4th you could tell they were spent. Nonetheless I'll still lay a lot of blame on Hamlin for trying to go high on McClain instead of tackling him low.
I seem to remember Flozell having the same lack of discipline-if you wanna call it that- when Parcells was in charge, and we know that Parcells called the shots when he was at Valley Ranch. What does TO have to do w/Tony's late season fade? That's all Tony. Just a horrible game, I need to get some sleep.
I knew last season that Hamlin was an overrated player. He had quite a few INTs last season. The problem was almost every one of those picks he had were errant throws thrown right to him. All he had to do was catch the ball. So, what does Jerry do after that? Somehow, Hamlin is deserving of a big fat long-term contract. He has been pretty bad this whole season. This game just caps that off. The fact is he was the safety on those two big run plays and he failed to make the tackle on each. The attempt on the last one...where he grabbed his arm/jersey...was pathetic. Also, Hamlin muffed a fumble recovery that he should have had. He had a very bad game. I think we were missing Roy Williams at safety this game...and it shows why we need him to stop the run. He may not be great in pass coverage...but he can stop the run. But, fear not...Cowboys fans. We have Hamlin locked up for several more seasons of mediocre football...except when he gets those INTs with balls thrown right to him where all he has to do is catch it. Somehow, that makes him worth it under Jerry's logic. At least Hamlin was more than willing to take the blame for those long run plays...something he is pretty good at.
