Didn't the US take part of Michigan from England during the War of 1812, or at least settle a border dispute? Do you think they'd take it back?

They were sly by letting the Brits do all the work.

Today if you had a vote I bet 90% of Mexico would want to join the US, the only thing is we don't want to take them as 51 state.

Well Canada is still technically part of the British Empire.

Making fun of our presidents is an American pastime. Dana Carvey's Bush impersonation and Phil Hartman's (RIP :( ) Clinton impersonation are part of pop culture history.

    No, they arent.

They are part of The Commonwealth of Nations. There is no longer anything known as 'The British Empire'.

The queen is still the sovereign.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_government

[rquoter]Elizabeth II, Queen of Canada, is the sovereign and head of state of Canada, and gives repository of executive power, judicial and legislative power; as expressed in the constitution: the Executive Government and Authority of and over Canada is hereby declared to continue and be vested in the Queen. However, sovereignty in Canada has never rested solely with the monarch due to the English Bill of Rights of 1689, later inherited by Canada, which established the principle of Parliamentary sovereignty in the United Kingdom. Nonetheless, the monarch is still the sovereign of Canada.[/rquoter]

Obviously they can give up the Queen like Australia has tried but as long as they don't they are still technically under Brit rule and the Queen as an Imperial Monarch it is still an empire. Albeit no longer a practically functioning empire.

There is a difference between mocking and insulting the president. If it's in good humor, that's all good. But, some of the stuff is really heading down somewhere we don't want to go...where "jokes" are really malicious in intent. I mean...I'm doing the "not name names" crap but I think we all know who I'm referring to.

and to clarify some misconceptions on Canada

    a) we are awesome
    b) Yes, technically, the Queen of England is our queen...but not really. See, she defaults to "Queen of Canada" whenever you are referring to her as the sovereign of Canada and although she is technically the same person, the two offices are not connected. They are legally distinct. So the Queen of England is not our queen but the Queen of Canada is our queen...even though they are the same person...but basically all that bull**** distills down to the following; England don't got nothing on Canada.

Stopped reading here. You do know the Queen of England runs your country, right?
