I don't know what it is but I can't get enough of HGTV. Maybe it's because I'm in the midst of finding my first house. I watch the channel at least once a night. I like the Before and After shows. I enjoy the shows on Lofts. I can't get enough of Designing For The Sexes and you can't keep me from watching House Hunters.

And I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Man, I know how you feel!!! My wife and I watch Designing for the Sexes, Sensible Chic, House Hunters, Designers Challenge among others. Plus, Christopher Lowell (Discovery Channel) is the gayest man on tv (not that there's anything wrong with that) but he has really great ideas for building stuff and fixing things cheaply that look good.

If you haven't seen it, check out TLC's Trading Spaces - another interesting one.

German accent ---> We are like little gurrrrls. :D

You know, I would agree with you, but I'm afraid you'll bite my head off like in the other thread.:)

Seriously, I love it too. I started watching it when we bought our new house a couple of years ago, and haven't stopped since. I just saw a gardening show that described how to build above ground flower boxes. I think I'm going to build some.

I liked it better when Alex McCloud was the host. I read an article one time that said she's from Galveston...I have no idea what happened to her. The new chick is too hyper. I watch a show last week where the decorator just ruined some furniture by painting the cloth PINK! They had to go over the $1,000 budget and buy new furniture.

I watch Trading Spaces. That show can be entertaining sometimes .....especially when they do something really stupid in someones house and they hate it.

Alex was hot, but I heard she was a real prima donna off camera. Page is a little too prissy. Hildi is pretty fine though. ;)

I found this from the Chron archives...it's pretty recent though.

Galveston native Alex McLeod , who calls Los Angeles home, will be in New York May 17 for the Daytime Emmy Awards presentation. Last fall's first season of Trading Spaces, for which McLeod served as host, has been nominated for Outstanding Special Class Series. The University of Texas graduate turned down a three-year extension on her Trading Spaces contract to pursue roles with the major networks. Parents Joan and Doug McLeod of Galveston are beaming . . .

    Us too.

Before and After (we fast forward to the end), Designing For The Sexes (we saw Michael at a home show in LA...he was most humble and gracious) and Designers Challenge.

While we're being 'outed', I'll one-up ya'll; I watch Gardening by the Yard also.

Maybe ya'll feel like I do in Home Depot? Its like Disneyland in there. I always need something from there. We're also getting a new Home Expo here in Southwest Austin...NOOoooooo!

Surprise Gardener (hosted by the third Mrs. Sonny Bono) is pretty good. It's a before and after style gardening show. It can't hold a candle, however, to its BBC predecessor, Ground Force. That show is hysterical. The hosts (who also do almost all of the labor) are constantly harried and covered in dirt. They always get rained on and they never seem to be able to finish on time so there's a mad scramble at the end of the show. Good stuff.

For some reason i like the food network Emeril Live(BAM!)and Molto Mario are sweet, The Naked Chef (no its not actually a naked chef) is pretty sweet too. Iron Chef can be cool sometimes, one time the main ingredient was eel that was sweet

EXACTLY!!! He is really wierd. When he dresses up like the little boy in the treehouse, it gives Mrs JB the creeps.
