He shot quite poorly and also because once he is in the post he seems to never pass it again

I don't bash him quite often, but in the game he somewhat deserved to be bashed

82 games.....you can't get too high, can't get too low. Have to take a steady, smart approach to do well over the long haul. Scola has been pretty dang awesome for the money. He has made a huge difference for this team, and he does it so quietly.

i noticed that in the game thread too. many were questioning his no. of shots, and saying it shouldnt be twice the amount by tmac/yao. but i say why not, he was open for the majority of them, and he made almost half his shots. dude was also out there hustling and fighting for offensive rebounds. ppl should realize that our big 3 doesnt have to take the most shots, we also have great offensive players like scola, landry and brooks.

Scola is making at least half the shots, which is better than most of his teammates other than Yao, so I have no problem he take many shots. For 3 million, Scola is definatly much worth it, Les got to be happy

He does pass from the high post, not as much I feel he should but since he is primarily a low post scorer he tends to hang on to the ball too long at times partly because of his lack of athleticism. I do feel he does have the ability to score nicely because of his footwork and his jumper has gotten somewhat better as well.

He and Landry complement each other nicely and are starting to take some pressure off from Yao which enables him to get some rest.
Luis will do well against slower teams which don't have physical players, hence the need for a more athletic, taller and defensive minded backup 5.

What I like about him is his willingness to keep on hustling even when he is overmatched.

People who blame players taking open shots have no clue about bball at all. How could some people never understand the rockets need energetic 4s to release take away the defence pressure on Yao.

Juwan or Bowen didn't take that many shots but they couldn't help the way Luis does.

    LOL... you people are amazing.

OH NOES! T-Mac is not sucking anymore. Yao is being dominant! Rafer didn't play! Rotation was short! Who are we going to piss and moan about now?

"I'll take hardworking and underpaid power forwards for $800, Alex."

I'm guessing that since this is usually about that time of the year when Rafer gets the blame by default, Scola has been anointed as designated scapegoat until he returns from injury.

There are only two posters here who use the term "scrubola" consistently. I think they are the same person.

10-21 is very good in this league no matter how you slice it, even if it meant him taking shots away from other guys. I would still prefer Yao getting around 17-20 shots a game, but I can't believe people are seriously complaining about Scola, at least he can stay healthy (I'm not trying to jinx him).

I use the name Scrubola from time to time. I didn't post in the game thread last night because I didn't watch the game live.

For those who hate Scola, we can always trade him back to the Spurs for V-Span.

He's T Mac fan don't take any thread about some other player playing harder seriously at all.

    Its always "THEY don't dunk!"

Neither did Bill Russell and it served him well.

People are just jealous two international guys are better than the American players on this team I truly believe.

    Thats just sad and PETTY.

guys play their butts off and you want more except from the guy making the most money and the most at stake.

Even if Tracy got a ring I would call this season a FAILURE for him. Every one else has to carry his lazy butt and I refuse to give him credit until HE PLAYS HARDER. Ring or not.

you all are missing the point

    scola can dunk

he's freaking 6'9" even his reach is over 9 feet, even if he was a 60 year old white man he could jump 10 inches to dunk

the reason why he DOES NOT DUNK is because he doesn't want to get rejected. he feels more comfortable using the glass and **** to finish.

dunking is not the issue, the issue is there are crazy athletic mofos out there who can jump 2 feet higher than scola and get up there faster to reject shots he cant even see coming

that's why he doesn't dunk. if you think yao gets blocked a lot imagine what happens to scola if he tries to jam it in traffic. you'd have guards and the towel boy blocking scola and he'd be a joke
