Hakeem Olajuwon has been named as a finalist for the NBA's annual Sportsmanship
Award. Hakeem, chosen as the Midwest Division representative, joins Atlanta's
LaPhonso Ellis, Philadelphia's Eric Snow and Phoenix's Jason Kidd as finalists.

The NBA Sportsmanship Award, designed to honor a player who best represents the
ideals of sportsmanship on the court, will be voted on by 122 members of the
media who regularly cover the NBA. The winner will be announced after the
    regular season.

    Good luck Hakeem!

Is being nominated another sign of how much Olajuwon's game has declined. In his heyday, his competitive juices would have gotten him into a few more fights with a couple ejections mixed in to boot. Now he's just happy to be on the court. I'd rather have the Hakeem that battled for MVP's rather than Sportsman awards.
