Great! I get free valet and the rooms are pretty clean. There is also a decent food court downstairs if I feel like a quick meal. My fav resorts are next door: NYNY and Paris.

I tried the buffet here at the Monte Carlo last night and thought it was very good and very cheap. Will try the spice market next cause I tried the one at Bellagio last time I was in town and did not like it, they are heavy on seafood and I am not a big seafood fan. Monte Carlo's buffet was much better.

I am going to ESPN zone tonight to catch the Rockets game. It is right next door to me.

I just got back from Vegas on Sunday, we also stayed at the Monte Carlo. The only buffet we tried was the brunch buffet at the Bellagio on Saturday. I was very un-impressed.

There is surprisingly a very good mexican restaurant inside of Planet Hollywood, check that out.

If you love to eat and eat and eat the Vegas buffets are great, but if you're a foodie I'd stay away.. I have yet to find a buffet in Vegas that I have been impressed with.. In the end it will come down to quantity>quality at the big buffets in Vegas.. Save your money and grab a meal at Craft..

I really liked staying at the Monte Carlo...especially in in hot weather with the wave pool and lazy river...;)

I've had the buffets at most of the places there, exept for the Bellagio and Wynn...They're all pretty good...I did the Rio, only because it was the world's largest buffet...it was aight...

My cousin and I are planning to go there in January...

Having lived here three years...I'd have to agree with this statement whole-heartedly. The buffets here are good...but they definitely aren't anywhere near the legendary status that they had ten plus years ago. Take your money and eat at a great steakhouse...or go Brazilian like I mentioned earlier in this thread.

I don't get the draw of Vegas buffets. Don't they cost like 30+ bucks now? It was great when you could prime rib and crab legs for 10 bucks. For $30+, I could go to decent restaurant and get stuffed.

That's crazy! I'm heading out there tomorrow for a few days and I didn't anticipate quite so much cold weather.

Stayed at Monte Carlo this past summer. Its a great place IMO. A good mixture regular places to eat and high end spots as well. The new steakhouse, Brand, just opened when I was there. We got comped for our buffet (4 people) and it was pretty good. Go for the football drinks at the bar, they are massive, I think 64 oz.

Casino and sportsbook are good and they still give out free drinks if you are chillin in the sportsbook. Its in a good location as well. 4 stars out of 5, in my book.

Here was the aftermath...we ended up with about 8 inches of snow on the southside of the valley.
