hey guys as you all may know i am starting the job hunt around right now and figure why the hell not I am not tied down with a family why not consider houston?

so outside of like careerbuilder, craigslist is there another job posting site that has a lot of local houston area job listing that you guys can recommend? I am looking for something IT related.

i have around 2-3 months to find something (my estimated timeline for my current job to go belly up) so while I am not desperate to find something next week. the sooner the better.

    thanks guys!

Sorry to piggyback on this thread but I wanted to know if anyone based in Houston might have any openings in a financial capacity for my cousin that recently graduated-Economics grad from U.of Chicago.
If need be I can email/have him email his resume to any of y'all that work for a company that has available positions.

    Thanks.

the job market in LA is most likely going to be bigger than houston's but the thing is that I figure i am going to be making around the same $ no matter where I am at this point in my life I rather be somewhere where the cost of living is much lower so I can at least have a better quality of life. The rent I am paying for my share of a 3bd apt here w/out utils in west LA is more than some really nice looking 2bd apts in houston.

    I'll check out dice.com thanks

I believe I saw http://www.houstonitjobs.com/ advertised a while back, but don't know how good the jobs are.

Also www.jobing.com (search Houston in there) has been putting up billboards also.

What are your IT skills, sir?

YoYo, if you cant find a job in Houston with the way our economy is doing, you arent trying hard enough.

I drive around just in this area and at least 50% of the places I see are hiring.

You are destined to live here....you know that and if you dont take advantage of your current situation to make the move now you never will.
