This is pissing the hell out of me. Just recently all of the P2P programs I have been using is just crapping out of me. Kazaa Lite, WinMx, Xolox, and eDonkey 2000 has just not working. Whenever I try to search for something, it either comes back with "no search results found" or just takes forever to search for anything. The only thing that works for me is Audiogalaxy but that aint really a P2P program. I ran the Ad-Aware and removed anything that it mentioned. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Use Grokster, you have to configure it to take out the spyware, but it is just like the old Morpheus.

DAROckets has a good thread on it.

The same thing happened to me Dave, and I still haven't been able to get it to work. Grokster doesn't work for me either, the only thing that works is the new Morpheus and Audiogalaxy which both kind of suck...

It could be your ISP blocking that traffic?

I have SWBell DSL - Windows XP.

Do you guys have a firewall or anything that could be blocking Grokster ports?

I have RR with WinXP. All of this started after I upgraded to XP. I run ZoneAlaram but pretty much give permission for every P2P program I have to do anything it wants. I went through a Windows update a few days ago, same thing.

You need to go into your network properties and check to make sure Internet Connection Firewall is NOT turned on. It is usually on by default and blocks almost everything. You can check it if you go to START - Control Panel - Network Connections - right click on your Local Area Connection - Properties - check under the Advanced tab. Make sure ICF is not checked. Or you can configure it.

If you have multiple network connections, check those too. I had problems with XP, I couldn't serve my website until I disabled ICF.

    Hope this helps...

Actually, all of this mess started right before Morpheous released their crappy "new" version of their software.

Did you really? Ad-Aware is good, but you must use judgement when removing files. I wouldn't delete anything unless I knew it wasn't needed for software to function properly.

Try uninstalling your faulty apps and then reinstalling them. If they work, its likely that you allowed Ad-aware to break them. You can always go back and research which files are safe to delete...

    Good luck,
