    I wish players were allowed to take paycuts. I think someone like T-Mac would be willing to do it so we could get Mutombo back. Oswalt wanted to do it too but it's not possible.

    Not possible? Really? Couldn't the player include it in his contract as a player option? It wouldn't even have to be phrased as contingent on acquiring an additional player. It would just be a player option, and it could be an option to reduce from salary X+Y to X, or to increase from salary X to salary X + Y. I'd like to see the league enforce a rule against that. It's no different from what Barkley did for (ugh) Pippen.

    I don't know about babying it, but he still isn't jumping much off his left leg, though he drove right a couple of times and got fouled by Jones and Smith, so that was encouraging.

    I know nothing about the business side of basketball, so you're probably right. If T-Mac didn't have this option in his contract when it was signed, I guess it's too late now. Oh well, when he re-signs with us in 2010, he should take the veteran's minimum :cool:
