The funny thing about his signature is that he's ripping on David Robinson who has a championship ring, meanwhile everyone is talking about how soft Vince Carter is physically and mentally. At least Mo attacks the basket, and doesn't sit back and gun away shots. Some "dynasty" the Raptors are putting together there. Don't you have to at least make the Conference Finals before you start talking about potential dynasties?
amazing, thank you cat for finally explaining the intangibles of a good nba player. defense must respect game, and this frees up other players on the floor so that they can score. a healthy glen rice and mo taylor(and even walt williams) takes away from the double and triple teams ran at wink and cat, freeing them up to score or dish easier. this is why , along with the pure stats of ppg, astpg, and rpg, we would have been a totally different team. also, kenny is not nearly as consistant 'cause he frequently gets stripped of the ball while facing up and making his move, and gets his shot blocked 'cause he is too short. just take a deep breath and wait till next year, it will get better.
The rest of the league can kiss my ass concerning the Rockets. Next year they'll have to deal with the Horror that Eddie, steve, cat, and Odom/Shard give them next season. If we are limited to 3 or less injuries next year, none involving Steve or Cuttino, we will make the playoffs.
Just wanted to thank several Houstonians for some great replies to my thread and for pointing out that I need to use more paragraphs to make it more user friendly (and less run on sentances . Everyone needs to give the Raptors guy a break as he is just giving his opinion and what he is saying is true. Rice is fat and out of shape and his best years are behind him. He also sucks on defense. KT gives same thing MO gives to the team except for passing, free throws and overall intelligent play. I do want to apologize for being so down on Rudy and his offense. While he does fall in love with scrubs and has an offense with too many iso's (designed for a dominent center)........he is still Rudy and gives the team it's heart and soul. He is what the Rockets are all about and I am happy he is our coach (win or lose). He is also tanking the last few games so that we can get a top notch player for next year and that is respectable as well. By the way is there anyone else out there embaressed to be a Rocket's fan every time you see Collier play significant minutes. While he is a gem at this time of year when we are tanking games....it still must be noted that that boy just plain sucks. Was he a superstar at the collegiate level or something? Just curious.
