The 22-game winning streak was nice. Remember us being in cloud 9 last year? With all those 22-themed photoshop pics? . It was nice to be with the club that has the second-best winning streak in league history. But seriously, WE WANT THAT DAMN RING! and the Rockets have to outwork and outsmart every team in the league to get that .
pierce might be out for tomorrows game, and the hawks have yet to loose at home to boston this year they are 9-1 at home while C's are 9-1 at road.
The Celtics' streak is meaningful ... at least they have a chance at winning the championship this year as opposed to the Rockets last year.
Just the contrary. The fact that we didn't have championship talent makes the streak even more impressive. If only championship counts as achievement, then 29 teams fail to achieve anything every year. What a pathetic view.
1)You're r****ded. You should probably make sure you use the correct spelling of a word before you call out somebody for being stupid. 2)In the phrase "second best record", the word record would refer to wins and losses. The phrase "it's on record" would refer to mention of the streak being written down and archived. But neither of those are the same as a world record or an NBA record. In that sense, "record" is only reserved for the team or person at the top of a list. As it's already been defined, a record is an unsurpassed achievement. By definition, if you're second on a list then that means somebody else is first and thus, have surpassed whatever you did. In this case, the Rockets 22 game win streak was not an NBA record because it didn't surpass the Lakers 33 game win streak. You can call it a team record though because it is. But that's not relevant because there's no way a Celtics streak can affect a Rockets team record. All the Celtics can do is push us down to 3rd on the list of all time win streaks. That still sucks but it doesn't hurt as much as if we actually held the record.
