Hahaha he is my guy, he is from Poland and I am from Poland as well.

He has been playing well lately and he is damn a great shot blocker. Hopefully after Howard returns Van Gundy will still give him his minutes.

I think Maciek didn't have the work ethic. He just didn't care or something. Well, Gortat works hard, he really does. He will help us, he is young, pretty athletic and active around the basket. I'd take him.

Lampe is selfwasted talent, he prefered chillin over hard work. It's a 180degrees diffrent storie with Gortat, he starde playing basketball at like 17 years old

Yeah it took a while (I was watching his breakout game against the suns and the announcers mentioned he was drafted way back in 2005), but this Gortat dude really seems like a steal. Finding someone with his size, speed and passion for the game (he seemed really amped up and really enjoying playing out there) is really rare in this league. The announcers were really surprised and were saying stuff like "Well Gortat must have been watching Dhoward so much he started to think he's Dhoward. He's certainly playing like Dhoward right now" lol :D

Of course the fact that SVG (my fav east coach) is his coach must have something to do with his development as well. I think the has the Gundy gift of developing big men :D
