His New Kind of Politics theme is so stupid it's funny given how irrelevant and off topic they are to Obama's message before during and after the campaign. It would be nice if he stuck around them to debate and discuss. If he's not going to do that, what's the point?

I'm not going to vote in this thread. If or when the mods kick him off then Basso can post whatever he wants and while a lot of his stuff frequently solicits a from me I think its better for the D & D we get a variety of views. As Rhad said though nothing says you can't ignore them or challenge him on it.
I wish we had a variety of views to debate and discuss though. basso doesn't do either. He posts something that gets responses and never discusses in any depth at all. So given the lack of defense his posts receive one can only assume they are pure bunk. The other side provides evidence and counter points, and the discussion always ends there. So if basso is going to post something worthy of discussing, then let's discuss it. Otherwise it's just a joke. Lately he's taken to throwing in some bigoted and ignorant lines as well.
I just wish basso would start using that intelligence he obviously has to actually write some interesting stuff for me to read. It's gotten to the point that I don't bother scoping out his threads when there isn't at least a solid paragraph of "actual basso" starting things out. Seriously, basso, they aren't informative, entertaining, or amusing. You used to be able to produce that sort of thing. What happened? As for the poll, I'm not voting.
While most of basso's stuff is without merit, he carries this forum on volume. If basso wasn't posting his ridiculous stuff, there wouldn't be much conversation left here.
Think the point is not quantity (though he has his days.) If someone only does cut and paste, and only writes misleading and intentionally inflammatory thread titles, you end up with a thread like this one. It's kind of a logical conclusion. While we have some shrill lefty posters, I can't name one who does both of the above, and in particular one who disappears as soon as someone posts evidence against them. Just sayin'. I could agree with those who are just amused, but it's a little depressing.
Like Juan Valdez said, you guys need Basso around here to reinforce your lame liberal agendas. The OP did not think hard enough before he or she put down that poll. This is a lefty forum, what do you expect the rest of the residents around here to vote? One example comes to mind,just think of every election there was or is, African-Americans always voted for Dems or candidates whose persuasion are like themselves, in lock step!
To offer you a pointer, always check the timestamp on Batman Jones' posts. When they're after midnight, I wouldn't expect a lot of thought put into the poll/post/thread
