Spike is having their annual video game award show. Couldn't care less about what they think, but somehow they always manage to get a lot of exclusive stuff. Some of the things premiering tonight include trailers for: GTAIV DLC, The Lost and Damned God of War 3 (supposed to be some realtime/gameplay stuff IIRC) Uncharted 2 Brutal Legend Gears of War 2 DLC (I think) Fight Night Round 4 Mafia 2 I think they're showing off a new game from EA called Dante's Inferno as well. Might be some other surprises too. Show starts tonight at 8PM central I believe. Gametrailers.com should have the videos online shortly after.
can't wait for uncharted 2. the first was just a really fun game. I wish we would see something on Ratchet and Clank but Insomnic might not want to take any attention away from resistance I guess.
Oh man FNR4!! I can't wait! R3 was the first game I ever played on xbox360 and I loved it. I still play it. I hope they keep the same mechanics and gameplay and just update the roster.
I have decided that I will purchase a PS3 after realizing that GOW3 will be released exclusively on that platform.

I was disappointed with the Fight Night preview. Who still cares about Mike Tyson? What is this obsession with the guy having to be in a video game? As long as there is more than 20 boxers in the game, I will be happy. Top 8 boxers from every weight class from Flyweight and up. With 5 legends from each one.
There was some FNR4 stuff announced a while back IIRC, despite the fact that EA was acting like this was its premiere. Yeah, they're trying to push the Mike Tyson thing. Don't really remember any specifics from the early info...just remember something about a new physics system or something. I think one of EA's Canadian internal studios is taking over for the closed EA Chicago studio. Actually had some gameplay at some public show that was leaked IIRC, although it pretty much looked like FNR3 at the time.
God of War looks like I would have expected. It's the third in the series; you can't expect much change. That's not a bad thing. The HD gifs of it are excellent. Speaking of excellent: Brutal Legend graphics were so-so, still looks like it'll be a blast.
I don't really know what to think about GoW3 with only ~15 seconds of gameplay...or what I would assume to be gameplay. Good visuals maybe? Well, it is as brutal as always. Well...it does seem further along than both FF13 games, but I guess that doesn't mean much. Yeah, Brutal Legend does look interesting, as expected. I might want to see a little more gameplay in the future to get a better understanding of how things work, but I don't think I would really have to doubt it. Gametrailers still doesn't have videos up. While I'm happy with my PS3, the final decision between that and the 360 was GoW3. KRATOS IS A BEAST!!!
FNR3 was great, just a few tweaks should all they be doing. Possibly revamping the training as well. I hope they don't try to be "Bold" and make a ton of changes. Seems like Peter Moore is big on that kind of stuff.
I care about Tyson. Hes one of my all-time favorites. Who wouldn't want to play with one of the most exciting fighters of our time? I can finally play Ali vs Tyson.
Considering the popularity of both series, we really should stop referring to either Gears of War OR Gods of War by acronyms. I got all excited thinking they already had a trailer for Gears of War 3.
GoW = God of War Gears = Gears of War That's the convention I've been following and what I've seen in use elsewhere.
Concur. Gears may be a great game, but it does not beat Kratos. Plus God of War has been around longer.
Seeing as Gears just came out with a new game and its been a couple of years for GoW, that makes sense.

That looks AMAZING. Uncharted 2, WOW. The only way to take full advantage of the PS3's power is in first party games, 3rd party games just can't do it due to the 360.
