There are 30 teams, so where do you think AB ranks among the backup-PGs for the 30 teams?

I think Aaron could be in the top 5 due to his efficiency. R. Sessions would be one of them as well.

Here are backup PG's I believe are better

Jose Juan Barea, George Hill, Ramon Sessions, Ronnie Price, Brevin Knight, Sergio Rodriguez, Antonio Daniels, Bobby Jackson, and D.J. Augustin

There's Leandro Barbosa, Kirk Hinrich, Jordan Farmar, Ramon Sessions,

I'd say top 10. Over the Anthony Carters, Jarret Jacks of the league.

    *edit*
DJ Augustin could start for the Bobcats. Earl Watson's also been a good backup.

i wish we stilll had bobby jackson. Of course, we coudn't get Artest without him, however i think we could've done with a deeper team of good role players than 3 stars. Of course i'm saying this in hindsight after seeing that our stars don't gel together haha.

Add Jordan Farmar to that list..I would say ahead of Bobby.

The reality is, unless Aaron can play some consistent defense, he will be towards the middle of the pack, even for back up pg's

believe me, they dealt away Bobby Jackson just in time...him and Mike James must have took the same rapid aging medicine. Aaron Brooks is giving plenty more than BJax would have.

I think Price, Knight, Rodriguez, Daniels and Jackson have a lot to prove if we are going to argue that they are CURRENTLY better than Brooks.

I would say the question really depends on what you want out of a backup PG. To me, the biggest factor that could drag aaron down the list is his consistency. When aaron had it going, he is the second best scoring backup PG behind DJ Augustine. (Am I missing anybody else?)

But he just lacked serious consistency that guys lik Antonio Daniels displays. Plus, people really do underestimate our players after a bad game. I'd say he's definitely in top 10 overall and the 6-10 category.

Aaron Brooks plays spark, gimmick player, change of pace player, matchup problem player, he doesn't play backup point guard.

He started off the year so strongly. It seems like his production has dropped off as of late. It has on my fantasy squad anyway.

Can we call it a sophomore slump when he's actually improved from last year to this? Mid soph slump? It seems still too early to say that the NBA season has worn on him physically, but with his slight frame, who knows?

With Raef out a couple weeks, I do actually hope to see some Steve playing time. Maybe we'll be surprised... one way or another.
