I would have beaten the living crap out of that journalist. He still is the United States president. Secret Service should have went loco on the a-hole.

My sentiment exactly. No matter how stupid our President may be he's still our president, and that action is clearly a disrespectful notion towards our country.
I was interested to see all the security people come out. Before the camera had panned to the ground, I count at least 5 people come out of that back door, as well as 3 spring up in front of him. Crazy.
Glad it wasn't serious. Not cool though, no matter what you think of Bush. I also agree that the reaction did seem a little slow.
the guy was pretty accurate tho, if Bush wouldn't of been paying attention he would of knocked his ass out.
There's another thread in D & D about this but I will repeat what I said there. This was a disgrace for Secret Service that the guy got two throws without Secret Service surrounding the president or taking the guy down. I'm not a fan of Bush but any physical threat against a US president should be taken seriously.
^ Yeah, this wasn't too big of a deal - but if the heal of that shoe had popped him in the eye this would be an international incident.
