Garnett has always done this to some degree, but with the championship it's like he feels empowered to push it further. I think a few technical fouls would bring him back to earth -- with the growing chorus about his behavior we will see some soon.

I do think Garnett should've gotten techs for the Calderon finger wag and for the Bayless taunt on all fours, the finger wag because it's almost identical to what Deke does, and the all-fours taunt because it was just bizzare if nothing else.

But overall I agree with the author's conclusion, not the OP's.

So you agree with this then? If so, I concur:
I say T him up whenever he crosses the line just like any other player. Other than that it's just KG being KG, leave him be.

Its hard for me to watch Celtics games because of KG's antics, sad part is i really like Allen and Pierce, i just hope KG doesnt rub off on them anymore than he already has.

I don't think the Garnett finger wag in Calderon's face was anything like Deke's. Garnett was pacing him while clapping and waving his hands in Calderon's face while he dribbled up the court. It wouldn't be bad if a technical had been called, but the refs just let it slide.

Agreed. It was worse than what Deke does. My point was that if Deke get's T'd up for it, then KG should have easily been T'd up for what he did, too.

Bottle it, label it and sell it. You'd be rich.

What Garnett does is PASSION....whyyyyy can't YAO get in a player's face, get on all fours and --

Garnett only makes himself look bad, he's not making the league's image suffer. Its still up to the ones running the league to apply (mostly) the same sportsmanship standard all around.

KG is all talk. Look at this altercation between McDyess and KG. Antonio gives him a little shove, but KG throws the ball at him point blank. Garnett probably thought that was the end of it, but when he realized that McDyess was serious about throwing down, notice how KG back peddles his ass off and ends up at mid-court when the altercation started under the basket. While it takes about 8 people to hold McDyess back:

Everybody that KG has bullied was either European or a PG.

But when the big boys come to play..

^ Great vid. Peeler is another guard who is about as big as Calderon though.

Sorry to say this about any of my brothers or sisters but Garnett has always been a street person, of low mentality, brought up and educated with low values. He is a dirty player in as much as he does many unfair actions when defending, often hidden from the eyes of the Refs. The way the Refs judge Yao Ming should also apply to Garnett. Refs should look at the film and be aware of everything that he is getting away with :p

Honestly this sentence made me laugh. It sounds like it comes from a Confucian monarch mocking his lowly subjects.

The guy's a loser, plain and simple. Needed Sam Cassell to get his sorry ass out of the first round in Minnesota, and rode Paul Peirce's coattails last year. How many times did PJ Brown save this guy's ass in the playoffs last year with clutch plays against Atlanta and Cleveland. All Kevin could do was brick 18 foot jumpers. Have you ever seen a less offensively dominant "superstar" big man than Kevin Garnett? Luis freaking Scola might be more potent in the post .

The sad thing is, he thinks he's somehow validated by the title he won last year. He spearheaded one of the greatest defenses in league history, sure, but if anything, last year exposed him as the fraud that he is, as much as ever, as he failed countless times to deliver when it mattered and got his ass bailed out by a great supporting cast. I cringe to think that this guy might end up with as many or more rings as Dream when he isn't even 1/4 as good.

Garnett is the best defensive big man in the game today. If only the Rockets have half his intensity they would stop losing to bad teams. You guys are just making a big deal out his antics which he doesn't do often.
