If Rafer's out for several games and Francis doesn't get an opportunity. He's done as a Rocket. It won't be any clearer that they see him as an expiring contract only. It'll be interesting to see what happens...
hopefully adelman gives francis a shot i mean if morey sais francis is still in the rockets plans he should be ready after 2 n a half weeks of hard practice and morey also said he could see playing time if rafer or brooks gets injured so heres his chance... i jus dont understand how t-mac, battier, and other players get to work there way back into shape during games and francis sits out ...besides being injured?? we can only hope but i have a feeling if francis does see playing time he will take advantage... only time will tell.... unless stubborn rick adelman doesnt want 2 play him lol... just ask yourself one question would u rather have a healthy francis in your lineup or a healthy rafer?? yes alston sets up the offense better but i bet francis can create more open shots for players and attack the basket and get 2 the free throw line... its self explanatory....
I didn't watch the clippers game as I was away but came back and saw the losing score and this injury news... man this is injury city. Anyone want Lebron to retire early? Bring him to Houston. We need to look for a backup for Yao and for PG position.
Even if Francis is physically able to play, don't count on him to fill the gap that Rafer will leave. He's nowhere near game shape and has played 10 games in the last, what, 20 or so months? It'll take him a few weeks to get to that point.
when he's on a good playing stretch he ends up getting hurt... Hopefully Steve can get some time now!
Playing SF3 at least a few minutes is a wise thing to do since getting him on the floor makes him more valuable than an expiring contract, so if we desire to bring in Deke or another player it's good to play him. His value purely as an expiring contract is the minimum possible value at the moment. If he gets out there and somehow plays extremely well then all the better as well. The only possible downside is if he gets in there and plays so poorly that we lose a game as a result but Adelman has very good wisdom when it comes to minutes and timing.
He just pulled his hammy? Damn I missed the game and just came back from where there's no network accessible for me. It's so sad to hear he ain't gonna be on the floor for us,he's the only pg in our lineup cept Tracy. Just send SF3 back in and let him play.
. . While we may joke. . . or hint . . . . . I am seriously beginning to wonder about the Rockets support Staff year in and year out we seem to have more injuries than any other team I think the Strength and Fitness Trainers down to the Medical staff . . . need to be review Rocket River Get Will Skippy!
It funny Rafer never gets any love until he gets hurt. Even if Francis is fully healthy, I doubt that he is in game shape, both physically and mentally, to play significant minutes. And Barry will be rusty too. If I were the coach, I'd try TMac at PG for some stretches.
