Heh, thats what I was thinking. These colds are always bogging him down. I'm hoping he sees some time Friday since he gets two full days of rest and practice.

no artest next two games lets see if steve can get some minutes..or did the "head cold" bring him back to rehabbing status again?

Chanting Steve's name is disrespecting the players who are currently practicing and playing and have this team fighting for in 1st place in the division.

The only thing the fans should be chanting is "We want Steve to retire"

I believe we need to see what he can do on the court before we judge what kind of player Steve Francis is. He looked very frustrated that he did not get into the game in Memphis, I wonder if this is why the head cold situation came about. Has anyone confirmed from the rockets that he missed the game because of a head cold?

I don' think you are disrespecting them.... that only shows them, when you give a city everything you have with passion and intensity with nothing around you on a team!! How the City will always stand behind you. The could learn more about this city instead of just throwing him under a bus and tell him to retire...Some of us still believe he can contribute!

Not disrespecting anyone. All the players understand how much some fans appreciate the passion and heart he gave us when he was here. As a team, especially with this team that has great chemistry, every player cares about each other.

And chanting "We want Steve to Retire," is disrespectful and very unclassy.

You think Rafer and Brooks like hearing "we want Steve" coming from the stands when Steve can't practice through a head cold and they are busting their asses in practice and giving their all in the games?

IMO that is a sign of disrespect for the players who are practicing and performing.

Obviously I would never chant for sf3 to retire even though I think he should. He's taking a roster spot and salary from some one else who might be able to help us win games.

Well Rafer must obviously like hearing it since he has been on a roll. There is nothing chanting we want steve. That should just motivate him more but i guess that isn't helping

Steve has been "busting his ass" for months to get back from his surgery.....
If he is sick he is sick........big deal. Ron Artest has said he is starting to look great and really contribute in practice. I'll take someones word that has actually been to the practices over you........If Ron (who sees him everyday) says that there is hope, than there is hope..........

Not to mention Yao missed today because of a cold as well............

I agree...Steve gave it everything he had even if we sometimes didn't appreciate his dribble, dribble, shoot iso's. He will come back and he WILL contribute something to this team.

    Alston/Brooks
    T-Mac/Francis/Barry
    Battier/Artest/Wafer
    Scola/Landry
    Yao/Deke

I pray for health going down the stretch into the playoffs because on paper this is one hell of a team.

No we need to chant We want steve!!!! That's the only way that We won't lost to the memphis grizzlies. Steve needs to show rafer a little dunk show and a little ankle breaking.

Exactly, he is starting to get back. So why are our dimwitted fans been asking for Stevie to get minutes all freaking season, when it is common knowledge he ahs only JUST start practice?

    What are exactly asking?

He began to practice. He is finished with rehab. But... he caught the cold and couldn't practice. (Yao Ming also didn't practice)

    Suited? Probably. Play? No.

It's going to take several weeks or months before he gets back in shape.

Honestly, it absolutely does not take anywhere near a month to get back in playing shape. I understand these are world class athletes and all but it's not like he's running a damn marathon. Two weeks of hard work and he would be good enough for the maximum 10 minutes a game he would be getting.

i was being sarcastic because last time he was cleared to play and he got a cold and all of a sudden it lead to him rehabbing again that didnt make much sense
