How hard is it to understand that we are saying w/e T-mac does people will complain.

Hell there is a thread sitting up in forum complaining that T-mac doesn't cheer enough on the bench.

Coming back prematurely and then sitting out again or getting hurt will be a great blow.

Basically just stating what I've seen on the boards if you're offended by me bringing it up then too bad.

    Again, do they have merits?

You just brought up your observations without explaining why they are wrong.

It's not wise to just say people complain too much so they are wrong.

If you are being a hypocrite and complaining at all 3 stages of the examples I gave in the original post then you have no merit at all.

When people complain too much, they are wrong.

You derailed the Artest appreciation thread in to a McGrady hating thread.

It's not that you're not allowed to complain, it's that you destroy good threads because you feel it is necessary to complain and you feel derailing threads is alright if it leads to bashing.

And FYI, complaining doesn't mean contradicting. It is one sided. The Tru Warrier appreciation thread is full of posts asking McGrady to play, whiles this all thread is dedicated to telling McGrady to sit.

Criticism is alright, but this much contradiction? Jesus Christ.

We all just need to face it. Whatever McGrady does, Damn if he, Damn if he doesn't. This GARM will just have to take all of this.

    Okay, kids.

    Play nice.

Look. It's late. Let's all agree to disagree that it's good to hate Tracy McGrady for everything, and everybody can leave with all their toes.

The truth is that there is a history of Tracy McGrady at least saying things that give most of us (and apparently, still do give most of us), the impression that there is something less than genuine about him.

Like he's pulling the wool over our eyes, or stealing from our kids, or stealing our lunch money, or wearing a dress that's two sizes too small to an important dance or something equally ridiculous...

All this from the few years he spent in Orlando...

...and people wonder why the man flops around with his positions and opinions like a flounder in a fishing boat...

Tracy McGrady will have to live with his decisions in Orlando, apparently, for the rest of his career. Decisions to complain, decisions to be a one-man show for that team, decisions to mismanage an organization into a tailspin...

...sort of like what's happened for the better part of McGrady's time here...

Look. I like Tracy McGrady. I think there are really only about three or four players in the league who are better than him as a player. So I get as upset as anybody when he makes one of those emotional left turns of his that invariably send him over the edge of a cliff.

McGrady is candid and honest. Almost depressingly so. People want to hear him say or do something that looks familiar to them, like a player of McGrady's ability is supposed to do.

He's supposed to act and talk like Hakeem did. Or like Magic Johnson or Larry Bird or Michael Jordan.

Heck, most of us would settle for a decent Lebron James or Kobe Bryant impersonation.

He's supposed to be defiant. He's supposed to laugh at danger. Spit in the face of death. Rail and shake his fist in the center of a thunderstorm and win the day and save the girl.

    Please.

The only thing McGrady has done wrong here in Houston is try as best he's able, to win. Everybody's got a right to their opinion. McGrady's earned all the criticism he's getting.

I just hope, for his sake, that this master plan of McGrady's to toy with everybody and create a lot of drama to keep us in suspense, so that we don't think that winning is too easy or something, doesn't blow up in his face...

    No more excuses Knee-Mac.

Could this be a situation that upper-management or the "powers that be" are forcing T-mac into?

Like are they scared of giving up the number one spot in the division?!?!?
If they are...please...give us a break and get out of wussy panic mode.

a powerful derivative of the purpose of this thread.
    Don't do it knee-Mac.

Next thing we know...BOOM...he comes back early has a good explosive game or two and then BOOM....knee-mac kind of wishes he stuck to his 3-week assessment cuz he gets injured or doesn't feel right. Please.

    Forget that man.

I don't agree with people derailing threads, especially almost every freaking one. However, I believe much of the criticism is warranted. Ever since T-mac has been in a Rockets uniform he has been full of excuses, something always different. And the fact that T-mac is good with his words and the way he speaks in interviews it makes it a little more easier to believe him. Anyways, I have to agree with DD on this one, T-mac has def. overused his excuse card.

No more excuses, we got two more seasons including this one to get somewhere deep, otherwise we are going to be looking like the Suns do now.

    excellent post...

I agree with you on just about everything here. McGrady ends up " saying things that give most of us (and apparently, still do give most of us), the impression that there is something less than genuine about him.

Like he's pulling the wool over our eyes, or stealing from our kids, or stealing our lunch money."

And overall, I do like Mac as a player as well.

And the hope that this "master plan of McGrady's to toy with everybody and create a lot of drama to keep us in suspense, so that we don't think that winning is too easy or something, doesn't blow up in his face..."

    ...is pretty much on point.

    Watch out Knee-Mac...we're catching on.

I don't understand this thread AT ALL.

We have no updates on T-Mac, we really don't know what he has been doing. Morey said he is working hard, he may even play on West coast trip.

    So what is your point?

Talk about being frustrated like a fan.

I consider myself a patient fan, very loyal but these injuries are really pissing me off.

I'm not blaming T-Mac, it could happen to anyone, he didn't choose to be injured, that's Lord's will.
