It's definitely behind those two, no doubt. Maybe some others, too, but most definitely behind those two.
problem is, not a single one of their "greatest" victories led to anything - they're standalone accomplishments in a vast canyon of zero accomplishment. so the packer win is nice - but if they come home and get thumped by the "oilers," it'll join the list of instantly satisfying/instatnly forgettable moments, IMO. if they can finish the year 9-7, however....... then, i think, we can look back at the game as maybe being the turning point for the entire franchise; the moment when everything clicked into place and they were off. that game is definitely coming... it'd be nice if it already happened.
Turns out the game was the fifth coldest game ever at Lambeau Field. The official kickoff temperature was three degrees. That beats the Texans coldest ever game when they played the Bears in Chicago when it was a balmy 12 degrees. I'm glad the Texans were able to pull out a victory even with the four turnovers. Let's hope they continue to play well and beat the Titans.
I still say we draft, with our first round pick, the best DE or secondary player available. If that player has an impact next year, I say we're playoffs bound..
