Unless we are fully healthy and play as a team consistently on both ends every night we won't make the playoffs.
Maybe not a 22 game streak, but they should win out in February for the 2nd straight year. I have no problem with another 4 seed. Does anyone here seriously think we would've lost to Utah if we had Yao, Alston, and Battier healthy? Our health situation is infinitely more important than our seed. If Yao didn't get hurt, we could've easily been the 1 seed last year as well.
we still have close to two months and a half or so before the break. Yes we wish to excel and capture the #1 seed. Or play at a higher level than currently. But, realistically we understand our limitations atm. Therefore, it would be satisfactory if the houston rockets remain in contention for the 2-6 seed by the allstar break. that is all we could ask for. hopefully we build great momentum going towards and after the break as well as remaining healthy. Moreover, if meeting the standards of health, chemistry and consistencies and we shall fail to make the wcf then we must assume we can no longer win it all with this core group. But, this is all we can ask for atm. cuz all i wanna see what can we do in the post-season with a healthy squad playing great team ball. So if we lose a game in the reg. to a opponent with a losing percentage. I'm not going to bicker much. It may be a transparent indication of our weaknesses or maybe an off night. But, that's not my job to analyze what just occurred its the up to management and the players.
Agreed with OP. I am sick and tired of these post where everyone is like "It's only November...chill out!" Thats a pretty lame excuse as to say why we shouldn't have to try as hard or play at our best to win games. And it's also pretty stupid to just automatically assume we're going to make the playoffs. Everyones almost 100% sure Boston and Lakers will make the playoffs but that's not keeping the team from playing at their max potential and winning games. Rockets should be doing the same.
