He doesn't qualify, because he was supposed to be the phenom for at least the past four years. Granted he's been hitting well lately, but he's been a disapointment so many times that calling him a phenom is a bit far fetched. Also, note that he has never had any type of power period.

I wasn't aware that Blalock was going to be sitting on the bench against left-handers. I just waived him and picked up Gagne who got his second save tonight.

Let me go ahead and save some people some time:

    Lance Berkman is going nowhere.

    Thank you.

    :) :D ;)

But Oswalt and Zito should? :)

And I'm sure as hell not taking Billy Freakin' Wagner in any deal.

You should have taken Gonzo and Wagner for Berkman and ran with that deal!

I'd take Berkman over Gonzalez -- I wouldn't be surprised if he's a one-year wonder. Wagner is scary right now :(

Gonzo has had above average years for 4 seasons now, though last year he started right out of the gate, he will get his numbers they will be the about the same if not better than Berkman's, the reason i put the trade up is Berkman will have more RBI's than Gonzo.......Seein that Bagwell cant seem to find his bat as of yet. Gonzo will have atleast 5 more HR's than Berkman, and I got a pretty good closer in Williams it looks like ( got em in the 24th round, just remeber him blowin away Biggio Lugo and Bags to close a game i went to last year.

In our fast-draft league, I have the best pitching staff ever. :) Roy Oswalt, Matt Morris, Randy Johnson, and Livan Hernandez. Of course, that's also my "Astros" team, with Biggio (ugh), Hidalgo, Ward, Berkman, Everett, Oswalt, and Ausmus!

That team's in 1st place in that league. Too bad I couldn't draft that in this league. :(

    Major:

How in the hell did you get Ishii? You were last on the waiver wire priority list!?! Am I missing something?

I sure thought I remembered the Austin Big-Eyed Fish having the top position, but I could be wrong. From what I can recall, the Austin Big-Eyed Fish have had the top position from the beginning of the season....

Austin Big-Eyed Fish must not have put in a request... I'm curious why ? He said earlier that there was one rookie that he wanted ? I was guessing Ishii, since he didn't use his priority when the first batch of rookies hit the ww... Must have been the little league star ?

I had the #4 spot (it reset Wednesday, I think). Fortunately, 1-3 didn't want him! :)

It is utterly ridiculous that the top 3 teams on the list didn't put in a claim for Ishii. Major got a steal!

No, the thing is, anytime I think about checking my team in Sandbox, it's freaking down or it takes forever (until recently). Then, when Major claimed him the other night, I could've gone in and got him, but I didn't feel it was right.

The player I wanted was Blalock, and I still ended up getting him.
