Honestly though, hasn't OU been more talented top to bottom than the recent teams they've lost to in the BCS? USC was the only team that I can think of offhand that was actually equal or greater talent than OU has had. With that said, color me unimpressed with destroying the what 115th ranked pass "D" in the nation? They have seen nothing even remotely close to as good as what they will in all likelyhood be seeing in Miami.
The BCS got it right. OU is clearly the best team in the Big XII I called the UT/FL BCG title game after UT choked their nuts off against the Red Raiders
They shouldn't have put themselves in that position to lose on the last play. OU beat the snot out of Tech.
only ou would run the hurry-up as fast as possible while up 27 just to try to get to 60. you would think bradford would come out to avoid injury but mizzou can't touch him anyway. edit: wow, actually ran some clock to end the 3rd.
why are brent and kirk still calling this like it's a real game? mentioning ou needs style points (they do?), talking about mizzou playing better in the 2nd half (like it matters when you were down 38-7), and talking about ou needing to hurry up to get some momentum (uhh, they're up 27).
Maybe it's their job? Should they just ignore the game and just talk about Desperate Housewives or something? Also, lol, OU with the record.
i'm usually the last to talk about running up the score, but wow, that was about as bad as it gets. leaving the starters in when you would think they would just want to stay healthy for the national title game is kind of amazing. and to do it 2 weeks in a row (TD w/ 30 seconds left last game, 2 TD's in the last 7 minutes tonight). and stoops actually just said the record wasn't important. lol, yeah, we threw deep up 40 b/c we really needed that extra TD. you can at least respect the jerks who let you know they're jerks.
I'm not really into talking sh-t about a Team that beat us and had a legitimate claim to the game we were playing in. Karma dictates that in that situation you appreciate the computers and STFU.
someone please remind me again how much more classless Texas and Mack are. please. i'm dying for someone to say that again.
I think OU has a really good offense, but ... they still have not faced a real test against a real defense. Mizzou's defense out there, just like most (if not all) Big XII defenses, was soft as melting butter. Unable to generate anything resembling a pass rush, unable to contain big plays, unable to do anything. Bradford looks like mini-Brady just because he basically has an eternity to throw the ball whenever he wants, and all he ever has to do is stand around until a receiver eventually breaks free on a route and then throw the ball. I think that will change in January when they face Florida. I think for the first time you will see Oklahoma struggle to put up points, and I don't see how their defense is going to be able to contain Florida, especially with Harvin back in the lineup. Right now Florida is easily the best team in the nation. Top to bottom, zero weaknesses. And they have Tim Tebow.
Big Texxxx, Remember how you kept barking that UT wasn't beating ATM very convincingly and then the horns went on to CONTINUE to destroy the aggies in everyone elses' minds and you dropped out of the thread all together? Don't pretend that you can have a rational opinion.
Based on what?? Based on 5 games they blew away their competition by average score of 61-29 What has Texas done since the Tech game...Win three games by average score of 44-12 in which every team had 305 offensive yards or less. I'm sorry but the whole "one team is playing better than the other right now" argument is stupid. You can't compare apples and oranges like that.
OU has faced the UT defense, which is pretty good across the board, as well as OSU, which is pretty decent (though not great). OU probably hasn't faced a defense of the caliber of Florida, but Florida hasn't faced an offense anywhere near the caliber of OU either. The SEC is full of pretty mediocre offenses this year, except Florida.
