Color me unimpressed. He's got a long way to before he's even Mo Evans' level. At least Evans was a defender before he expanded his game. We have yet to see if Wafer can even score consistently.

I thought that was his most solid performance tonight. I thought his D was good, too. That fould called on him on the Magette drive was good D.

I really like his drives. He is quicker than everyone thought at first, and I think he should make that his brad and butter for scoring, and take the three when it comes.

He is redeeming himself. This dunk was the first thing that came to mind when he signed with the Rockets.

It's nice to see him produce, hope he keeps it up.

    Yeah.

Wafer is playing good and I hope we get to keep him. I love his athleticism. I just wish he was more aggressive. He has the hops to do some damage down in the paint.

But in the playoffs we'll see his true value.

He certainly makes Head redundent. I agree.

I think if Stevie comes back and has shows us something, Head will be gone.

Head has trade value....and I wouldn't mind packaging him along with one of our power forwards (hayes, scola, or landry) for an upgrade at the pf position. I still feel we are a bit undersized there and could use a guy to help us match up better with teams like L.A., Utah, Portland, etc...take some pressure off of yao - give us some shot blocking. Basically would be awesome if we could get a cross of landry and scola with maybe a few more inches of height.

impossible i know....but look at l.a. - the got gasol! Imagine if we had offered up head and scola for that?

Good to see so many fans now jumping onto the Von Wafer bandwaggon!
Von Wafer should be one of the main building blocks of the Rockets
    a) Yao
    b) McGrady
    c) Battier
    d) Scola
    e) Landry
    f) Artest
    g) Brooks
    h) Von Wafer

Think again!! Scola and Landry are solid building blocks of this team
Non Building blocks who are available to be Traded
Alston, Francis, Hayes, Barry,Dorsey and Head

Are you serious or trying to say he's another Snyder?

Anyone know where i can get some good action pics of Wafer? I want to make a Wafer-centric wallpaper, but pics of him seems hard to come by.

as always with scorers, they blow hot and cold. Hopefully he can maintain it .

Still yet to convince me on the defensive end, but its no surprise he is already looking better than head.

He won't have too many mins when T-Mac come back. Whatever, he can instead of L Head. And then we can trade Head with a 2nd round pick and sign Mutombo.

if he can keep it up, he'll definitely get some PT ahead of head and barry, but i think he just had one of those nights, let's hope he keeps it up...

not sure if we can trade away head that easily, but signing deke would have to be a priority here, he still brings a shot blocking presence on the defensive side which goes a long way. trust me. last year everytime someone would take it to the rim, deke was always waiting, yes, even at his ancient age.

morey knows this has to get done. don't care if he's 40. still better than most backup C in the league.

he played good tonight, but it's just 1 game. Didn't Head play great for 1 game and then suck really bad the next?

Not saying just wafer, but that's why I wasn't high on barry signing. The rox already had too many standstill players. Yes I know barry is a really good shooter, but he can't defend his position whichever it might be, nor can he get to the rack. This team was and still to a certain level is missing some atheletes. Some guys that can just make "atheletic" plays. I mean its not the end all be all, but who can we even throw a alley oop to? Landry and sometimes Tracy, that's its. There are times when its easier to throw a pass over the top instead of a bounce pass. Problem with the rox, they don't hae guys that can "go get it." I knida wish they wouldve kept Gerald Green. He's the same type of player as wafer except bigger. When Tracy gets back, I would like to see 32 starters mins from Tracy and ron, 20mins for Shane and the other 12 to wafer. Barry and Head are bench fodder or situation players.
