I agree....The point should be to lift the burden off of tmac and mcgrady. Make it easier on them. Yeh maybe for the 04 05 rockets the shooters would complement the team better, but those teams sucked. Were trying to learn from what we did wrong those years and improve. I think we were too dependent on mcgrady in the past, and now his body is breaking down. It makes sense to add versatile scorers with alot of energy on both ends of the court. That benefits both Yao and tmac because now they can just focus on what they do best. They dont have to press like they used to.

I remember the days when if mcgrady missed a game, we had absolutely no chance of winning...that has changed and i think the addition of artest is part of the reason why.

Please you are embarassing yourself.......I am not talking about hanging at the 3pt line, I am talking about moving without the ball to the basket, to the midrange game and yes to the 3pt line.

    Ala Ray Allen......

Someone who fills in the empty gaps whenever there is a double team and can score the ball.

Voted Dunleavy, as he and correy is the only players that can make the fast break. But corey is a hell of a ball hog.

Personally, i think the best fit is Vince. Another player that can create off the dribble, make the pass, and score from anywhere.

You just mentioned two completely different types of players...In the first one youre talking about Ray Allen. In the second one where u mention filling in gaps when theres a double and scoring, we already have tons of guys who do that already...Thats not a difficult thing to do. Commanding a double is the hard part scoring because of an open look created by the double team is easy and we have tons of guys who can do that including Battier, Landry, Scola, and hell even Rafer has been doing that lately.

Mike Miller is no ray allen. Not even close. He doesnt have the speed of a ray allen and he cant get to the rim like Allen. The only thing they have in common is theyre both great shooters.

Tonight Artest proved to the haters what he can do. He scored 29 points and he did it in a bunch of ways. He went to the basket, he shot the open three, he made some fade aways, he moved well without the ball, he scored in transition....He's way more versatile than a Mike Miller and that versatility is what we needed. He keeps helping us find ways to win

You clearly have not watched Miller play very often, he is no Ray Allen but they both move well without the ball....which is my point...

Allen is way better. Its not close. Just look at the numbers. Allen is a champion now too. Has Miller ever won anything?

I'm familiar with his game enough to know that hes no Ray Allen. Hes not as fast, I'd say hes more like hedo turkelu who is a good player, but not a star player.

Ok, last time, then I am done, you are clearly NOT getting it.

I am saying a player like Mike Miller who moves without the ball fits better with a Yao and Tracy team.......it adds another dimension.

Ron's skillset is redundant when Tmac and Battier are healthy.....

Maybe he can post up more (and he definitely can drive in more) but for the most part T-Mac does focus on passing. He always feeds/re-feeds Yao and looks to get the guys involved. I mean he hasn't taken too many shots this season. He's cut down on them and he's letting Artest play his game. He also has worked on his spot up shooting (3 pters) as indicated by his strong shooting in a few games before he sat.

I think T-Mac is adapting to this team more than you give him credit for. He just was hobbling around so he couldn't be an integral piece of the offense. He did adapt last season and he'll do it again when (if) his knee feels better. Do you not agree?

    ...

He's said Allen is better than Miller. His point is he thinks Miller will fit this team better because LIKE Ray Allen, he would add a new dimension to this team in his ability to move without the ball and stretch the defense to it's limit with his range and accuracy.

And why on earth are you bringing up Allen's championship? What does that have to do with anything? And Allen didn't win jack before he got to the Celtics. Has Miller ever played with KG and PP (Finals MVP)???

I think Rudy Fernandez would be a great fit. This guy is constantly moving without the ball and can shoot.

no.. I do agree.. that he was finally doing his best to play within the offense and adapt his play.. but.. as we've been starting to discover.. it's been mostly due to his feeling that what would be his usual prefered style of play is currently impaired.. and is vehemently against playing the remainder of his career in such a way, that he feels to be, a "limited" manner..

so I have my doubts that he'll actually stick to it when he does return.. because from all indications.. he'll only return when he feels confident he can once again go back to playing the way he's accustomed to..
