I don't see him walking away from the broadcast deal he just got w/ ESPN.

I really do think he enjoys being a color commentator & will keep the gig for a while.

That said I think Phili is where he will go IF he does make a move. They have a great team but need someone to put it together for them. Plus it'll be a little easier in the East to get into the playoffs and make some noise than the West.

He should, and I think will, make a comeback. But JVG is very intelligent and isn't going to take just any job out there. He's going to want a team on the rise that's already built to at least make the playoffs.

I've felt for a while that Chicago would be a good place for him. They've got talent there, but haven't put it all together. Skiles was an authoritarian and leader, but doesn't really have an awful lot to teach his guys. Avery Johnson was the same in Dallas. Del Negro's simply over his head. JVG would do really well out there, the only question mark being whether he could get the best out of Rose in his super-deliberate system.

Toronto is the last place I'd expect to see him. Too many defensively-disinclined Euros. Washington doesn't have the type of guys he likes either.

To be honest, there aren't a lot of teams that look like they *could* become contenders under JVG. He really thought we had those pieces. Too bad McGrady and Yao have to take turns suiting up.

I really wouldn't expect him to come back to coaching just yet.

Last time he talked about it, i seem to recall him talking about staying out of it for a while. I wish I could remember where I saw it. He basically talked about him and the family being happy here in Houston and he didnt want to put them thru another move just right now. HE also seems much happier doing the commentating.

Im gonna go out on a limb and predict he fulfills his contract with ESPN.
