Never trust a man who uses a Zune. [rquoter]Cardio with Obama AddThis Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008 at 2:40 pm posted by Neal Santos The Insider My morning routine usually starts off the same way every day. Wake up, go to the gym, grab a coffee and go to work. But when you get patted down by the Secret Service at the gym first thing in the morning, you know something's up. I hopped on my usual treadmill and put on CNN. The news ticker scrolled frantically across the screen, as footage of the President-elect was shown over today's topic — "Is Obama Black or Biracial?" It wouldn't be long before I could ask the man myself, as he walked majestically across the gym floor in his track pants and sweat shirt. I did a double take, and soon after that, looked around the gym to see if anyone else knew he was here. Nobody seemed to notice. But he hopped on the machine next to me and broke a mean sweat while reading a copy of USA Today and listening to his Zune. What the hell do you do in a situation like that? Well, here's a list of things I did while simultaneously running next to Mr. President-Elect: * Cranked up the speed to show my feats of strength. * Stared at him for a good 4 minutes. * Watched him watch himself on CNN. * Smelled my pits. Just to be sure. "WHY DIDN'T YOU TAKE A PICTURE?!?!" was the main reaction I got from friends. My beloved mother asked me to ask him for health insurance coverage. But as he walked away, wiping the sweat off his brow, I couldn't ask for anything from the guy and was satisfied with him just being my president. And OK, fine — I'll admit that I creepily savored his treadmill after he left.[/rquoter] more Zunegate
basso you don't trust me? I've got a zune! I got it for dirt cheap, 30 gig player from woot. i think it was $80 all my music, podcasts, videos run great. plus i got premium earphones (from my sources). plus the zune has a FM radio, Wifi, and games too (texas holdem, sodoku etc) sure the ipod is nicer, but this thing could hurt someone if i threw it as projectile! btw, iTunes couldn't give me an album cover for the Rhythm of the Night: 80s club songs I got from Target however Zune got me a cover!
You can't read Chinese characters on the Zune, which is a big problem for me. Otherwise, it's alrite.
Zune hardware is pretty good... the Zune software sucks hard at media management, encoding performance, and useless "soclal" features. I hear good things about the Zune pass, but I don't have much use for it.
Debunked! http://www.pcworld.com/article/155010/zunegate_is_obama_an_ipresident_or_not.html ZuneGate - as some called it - is settled. Reports that President-Elect Barack Obama is actually a Microsoft Zune user have been crushed last night by one of Obama's spokesmen. "Not true, the President-Elect uses and iPod," addressed the spokesman to Philadelphia City Paper - Neal Santos' accusations. It all started with a blog entry on the Philadelphia's newspaper website of Santos saying that Obama "hopped on the machine next to me [at the gym] and broke a mean sweat while reading a copy of USA Today and listening to his Zune." After that, Zune fans were "claiming the President-Elect as one of our own" thinking that "This is probably the best endorsement Zune could've gotten -- for free." However, Apple iPod fans weren't too happy with the news either, some of them even flaming in comments "I want my vote back!" During the campaign, Obama and now Vice-President-Elect Joe Biden, both claimed to use Apple computers and music players. Now, with Obama denying of actually having a Zune, Neil Santos is saying, " I don't know for sure that it was his. It could belong to one of the many Secret Service dudes that were at the gym, Michelle, or even one of his daughters." On a lighter note, some commentators are still poking fun at the past election campaign, with one claiming he/she is John McCain saying "Obama's not in for proprietary formats," while another one claiming he/she is Sarah Palin asking "What's a Zune?"
