My sister needs one for some college photography class. Anyone know where to get one cheap. She isnt into the stats of it too much. She just needs something for the course. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
We need pictures of... odd, it's a PHOTOGRAPHY thread, eh? They still make those? I kid. A MANUAL camera is a good way to learn the basics of photography. Is she going to be doing B&W or any type of developing herself? It's a lost science and ART, developing... I used to do it in high school... Pentax makes good manual ones. I second the Craigslist suggestion. Shouldn't schools (whether higher-education or high school) be teaching DIGITAL photography now? Don't want to make this a debate, but... last I heard, Eastman Kodak is no longer going to make "film" because they're losing money...
Most of the chem labs I did in school were basically "OK, now we have a machine that does all this with computer assistance." I think the idea is when you have the "analog" knowledge it is easier to understand the digital media on a greater depth.
