Here is the link..http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playernews.aspx?sport=NBA&filter_teams=HOU I haven't seen anyone post this but i think even though its frustrating it is a good time for some of our key players to get hurt now rather than later down the road when it will count the most. Barry and McGrady being out should give Wafer more minutes and hopefully more confidence in his shot and game. Artest is going to have to step up and play like he did with the Kings a season ago. Yes I know some of you guys don't like him but it's time for Luther Head to knock down those open shots and play good defense. The only thing that gets Head in trouble is that he tries to do too much that leads to turnovers. Hopefully this would be a good time for Battier to get his wind back , shot back , then we can see this team fully healthy in the next week or 2.
Brent is getting old now. And McGrady is McGrady. I just wished he would play to get his strength back like our team doctors told him too.
"Tracy McGrady will miss at least a week of action in order to let his surgically repaired knee heal and will be limited once he returns to the court. T-Mac met with Dr. James Andrews on Monday and this is the plan they came up with to help alleviate soreness in the knee. If you want to trade for T-Mac, his price should be about as low as it's going to get. The good news is that he doesn't need another surgery, and you can look for Luther Head should start in his place on most nights." i am happy
Wow good news...i was braced for the "mcgrady out for season" headline to blast me in the face when i logged on. Hopefully the new plan helps.
Well there you go. Now why are we pissed at McGrady? This is why we got Artest in the first place. He is here so when T-Mac inevitably missed games for injuries, we had another player of quality to carry the load. Everyone seems to forget that we are building for the play-offs, not to have the best record after November.

That's what we said against Pacers... The longer he doesn't play, the more time it takes us to actually find our roles and make Rick's job a lot easier. We don't know if Artest will stay like that or if the problem will be fixed as soon as he get in the 2nd unit.
i dont care how many games tracy is going to miss. the rockets can hold up and make the playoffs without him. i just pray that hes going to be a hundred percent soon.
The good news is that he doesn't need another surgery ...and you can look for Luther Head should start in his place on most nights
Just making the playoffs isn't good enough. We all say that every year, and thats what happens; they just make the playoffs, then lose a hard fought series. We need a top 3 seed against a team we can hopefully cruise past. Boston might have been out during the first round of last postseason had they not been a #1 seed. They were playing that bad early on. I'd love to play a team like Dallas, or Denver in the first round. No Lakers and no CP3...I'd rather not see D-Will in the 1st round either.
hopefully this gets Tracy to know that he needs to play through it. Last time he after he came back from the Magician from Waco, he never had back problems and had a streak of 6 straight 30+ point games. I think knowing that there is nothing wrong will rejuvenate him to play aggressively. Its all mental, When he is on top of his game, no one doubts he is top 5 in the league. He just has had so many injuries, that it makes him worry that it might be more serious then what the doctors say. Now that he has had a second opinion, he will be more relaxed and it will show on the court
maybe there is a silver lining here. Perhaps head can raise his value with some decent play, and we can pull a trade to get something... maybe stevie can get some of those minutes and work back into the franchise (hopeful optimism)
Didn't Jon Barry have calf injury issues with us his final season that resulted in his retirement? I worry when old players get injuries like that because they're usually slow to heal. Hopefully, I'll be proven completely wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised if Barry retired after this season.
