I am in the market for a decent 22" monitor. Any suggestions or good deals that anyone has seen. It is time to get rid of the old CRT dinosaur.

I can get you a 22inch Samsung for around 165.

    or a Samsung 19" for 120.

Acer is trash compared to Samsung.

See my post about Ebay Cashback in the Cyber Monday thread. I don't think you can find a better deal than 40% off.

I would go with something that can output full HD if I were you, just so you're not out buying another monitor anytime soon. It'll be more expensive at first, but you'll thank yourself later.

    Get any Samsung that's 1920x1200.

I know this was a concern in one of the many TV threads, but same model monitors can use different LCD panels. You can also buy monitors that are not the huge name brands that can look just as good because of this (BenQ for example). Research a bit and you can save money or pay the same and get more.

I've got 2 SAMSUNG 226BW's that kick ass. 2ms response. Although I only use one now, cause I run SLI and you can only have 1 monitor running on SLI. :(

This isn't a 22" monitor, but I purchased an HP 2475w 24" widescreen display. It's an S-IPS panel, with fantastic viewing angles and beautiful color reproduction. If you have the bread, you might want to consider it. I was a bit worried about having a display this large, but I found that I love it. I can view several pages at once if I want and the font size is perfect, at least to my taste. Very easy on the eyes! I'm a gamer (RTS's, which have become pretty demanding), and have had no problem with response time. It's plenty fast enough for me!

    Here's a review, if you're interested. http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/content/hp_lp2475w.htm
