People around here were giving up on McGrady and Yao last year when the team was playing w/o an identity. This is deja vu all over again. McGrady will come back when the team is clicking and make us even better.

Exactly, once Tmac is done having his period he will be back in action and taking us on another 22 game win streak. Of course you know Yao will be injured by then. LOL.

It is so sad to think any player with less than 41% FG in a season as superstar.

I've been listening to this crap for 4 years now...I think most people who want to get rid of Yao and Tmac don't realize that a) They are a couple of
the best players out there...and b) There's no way that you'll upgrade this team by trading them. If you want to complain about flaws in either Yao or
Tracy's games, then feel free, thats what the board is for, but for the love of God, stop the "Trade them now!" madness. I've said it before, opinions are fickle,
be careful not to base your beliefs off your opinions. Either way, it's too late to trade these guys. The best chance of success is to ride out their contracts and if
its best for the Rox to go in a different direction at that point, they'll be free to do so. Until then, sitdown and try to enjoy the ride.

p.s. please disappear when we make our run in the playoffs.

Although, I wouldn't put it in your words, I have to agree with you.

Yao seems to understand. Magic last year seemed to understand. As Tracy said..."If Magic Johnson liked my game, then damn what everyone else says."

I think you just helped me realize something. I don't so much have an issue with complaints or criticisms. I often will offer my opinion in discussions on the value or lack of value in players. But when someone just says, "Trade xxxx, " or "Trade his ass," all I see is a person lashing out, not really thinking about whether it makes sense to trade said person, if you get something better or equal value in return, etc. It just seems like such a emo-type yelling.

Lol wow one game big deal. The only difference between not having McGrady in the game is that the ball moves better. But we still tend to lose sometimes. All I'm gonna say is look at our record with McGrady and without him. Im done.

can we have a tracy thread? we get this EVERY year.

and every year, he's the only one performing well in the playoffs.

so keep doubting him. i'm sure he'll be back, ready to ball sometime soon and lead us in the playoffs.

they did. pat riley considered moving him to chicago for the #1 pick. but i think they made the right choice keeping him.

it depends on how tracy does in the playoffs.

And every year the rockets lose in the 1st round even when they take a commanding lead in a series.

So you claim to have been a fan since 6 years old and you're throwing in the towel when there's still hope and only 18 games have been played? What kind of fan are you? Just jump off a building or something and stop whining.

i don't thikn you can consider him a superstar in the reg. season anymore b/c he's so inconsistent.

but in the playoffs, he does play like one. since he usually steps up his game at that time, the status sticks for some reason.

he's played like an average starter this year at most.

it's not like it's entirely his fault. he steps up in the playoffs. sure he should shoulder part of the blame, but him and yao can't get over the hump if the role players like rafer, luther, bobby jackson simply disappear like ghosts.

i believe yao and tracy have played well enough in the playoffs to advance the past few years. sure they could have played better, but they played well enough. it's a team game. your role players have got to step up. teams adjust in the playoffs. different role players have got to step up to make the game easier for tracy and yao.

    that's why we got artest.

Come on guys...it looked bad in '95 and we won a championship!! It's Houston tradition to suck early, and we're not even sucking that bad! :D

Everyone gets into panic so soon, we started last year 15-17 and still finished 55-27...we're 11-7 now, if T-Mac needs to get healthy let him do it, alothough i am starting to think its mental, because doctors say the best way is to play through it but he doesn't believe. But i dont think we should be worried right now, come the end of december and T-mac's still saying he's hurt and the team is struggling then we can start to worry, but even then its an 82 game season, we haven even played 20..we'll be alright

I think if he ever had a chance to get past the 1st round and get that proverbial monkey off his back, I sense the rockets could potentially go real deep in the playoffs. The big question is his durability. I think he's seen his better day when it comes to his athletism, but the athletism that he lost most NBA players never had it to begin with. I still think he can dominate ie.(game 6 of Utah series only 7 or 8 months ago), but at 29 yrs of age I would have thought through experience that he would be alittle more mentally tough. I still feel very strongly that he needs a sports pyschologist to help him realize his dreams and to help him realize that on most NBA nights he's a man amongst boys.
