Did any of you see a 40 inch sony lcd or plasma today at walmart for 500 or 600 dollars. My coworker called emphatically today telling me that this was true and she was there. the reason she was so excited was because she knew i spent the night at frys to get a sony brava 40 inch for 750. but i just find this hard to believe. if so thats a heck of a deal. she said it was a sony, maybe a different model but still this sounds outragous. specially since she claimed it was just there, how could a tv like that last this long, even if it just got there today, she called around 2. can anyone confirm otherwise?
its probably the 32inch http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=9252002 they have them everywhere for $500, but they sold out fast at bestbuy/circuit city etc its a great tv, its 720p, but that's perfectly fine for a small 32inch set.
I'm not sure about that deal, but a lot of those sales were still going into the weekend. I drove to Houston and decided to stop off at JC Penney for the heck of it. All their "black friday" sales were still going... I picked up a couple of jackets. The store wasn't busy at all. There's a Bravia 40" on Walmart.com that's listed as "price varies by store" and it's not available online. Seems like it could be possible that it was that low if it's a clearance item. I just looked and amazon sells it for around $899 and compusa sells it for $850. Assuming this is the same one you got from Fry's.
yea its the s model. the lower end one. could be in clearance but could it be that much cheaper than the samsung and other lcd tvs being sold at that size. also those prices you came up with are accurate thats why i was excited about getting it at 750. either way spending the night outside of frys has become a tradition among my friends. so i didnt mind it at all.
I saw the 40 inch there on black Friday. Granted, I live in New York state. I wanted to pull the trigger and buy it, but I didn't. Should have though. It was an LCD, by the way.
