Well, Nuggets were just better. But wait, we were without Tracy and Shane. That means something. One thing. Yao looked BAD. He is pretty soft, he got abused inside by everybody, I mean Nene, Andersen and Martin... Ron Artest is as bad as Luther Head in the playoffs. There is no FREACKING way you give Ron 18 shots. Are you kidding me? He is shooting like 30% every single night. He is horrible inside, even if he has Carter on him he can't move him. SAD... Of course the other thing is that ge is getting grabed, reached inside and refs didn't make even a single call. It is kinda pathetic. But there is no way you give him 18 shots. I hope when Tracy comes back it will change and Tracy will take Artest's shots and Artest will take Tracy's. So fare he hasn't looked good. Maybe Alston wasn't that bad but he wasn't great either. I mean MORE AARON BROOKS. He and Landry were phenomenal. I love them and damn hopefully Adelman will use Brooks over Rafer. 14 BLOCKS FOR DENVER? this is SOFTTTTTT..... Hopefully Tracy's back on Wednesday
Yao will always need a quick dominant scorer from the perimeter to take the pressure off him and get him easy baskets. That's why 04-05 rockets were so good with just Yao, Mac, and scrubs. Don't even get my started on the "Why is Artest so slow issues."
Meh. No McGrady, Battier, or Barry on a second of a back-to-back in Denver, where the air is notoriously thin. Didn't really expect to win this.
That weak saying Yao is tired. He sat out all of the 4th yesterday pretty much. Today it was a combination of there sick number of blocks (14 or 15) and the lack of offense in critical times for us. They shot 8.1% higher than us but we beat them in the 3's by 10%. Our coaching staff needs to decide what type of offense they want to run. Matt Bullard even commented on that tonight saying we had our smaller line up in and they were getting it done, then yao comes in a gets in the way. Which I feel is the truth. When yao comes in in times like these, he looks bad, and it ruins our offense. Thats the coaching problem. Also Ron Artest couldn't get a call to save his life.
Yao is looking less mobile then usual, hope it's just fatigue from the olympics and he can get back to form. If it's because of the surgery, not good!
ya, Yao is missing TMac big time. remember when they used to play the 2 men game? that was so easy to watch. now nobody do that anymore.
Seriously, this team needs a decent PG, almost everyteam has a better starting PG than us. Our guards can't attack the rim, or they always get blocked.
This is a sad season where all season long the team will missing key players. I just don't see TMac getting to be 100%, it took Wade a whole season and summer to get healthy with the same surgery.
yao sucked. why do you want him on the high post passing!! I'm on crazy pills. We missed shane's D. I now believe he is our most valuable player. I mean even Scola, who is always full of energy, seemed lifeless. It was the night of the living dead out there, and we were being shot in the head over and over. =(
The problem is not so much Yao as it is RA not making adequate substitutions when he isnt playing well. If its necessary we shouldnt be afraid to go small. It seems to work fine most of the time. RA coaches as if he was terrified of his star players.
Well, we played like garbage tonight. When we play like garbage our negatives are very clear. Yao Ming is great. I love everything he brings to the table, on and off the court. However he is too soft. It is too easy for players to poke the ball out of his hands and he for some reason does not like to finish with a dunk, but rather a little flick. That is where he needs to become solid. I think Rafer Alston is a good point guard and fits well with our team, but too many times he settles for jump shoots which, are not his strong suit, early in the shoot clock. Now on to Artest. I think he forces to the issue too much, which is why he doesn't get good lookcs. Teams know, when he puts his head down and goes to the basket they can collpase on him because he will force it. After watching this game it is clear T-Mac brings more positives to this team than negatives. So hopefully all the negative talk about how he should be traded will stop. That does change however, when he is playing hurt. SO let the guy do his rehab away from teh court, then return in 2 or 3 weeks. Our team has the ability to be a contender, we just need our full roster on the court together healthy for a long stretch. So hopefully we can stay over .500 for teh next month, then in 2009 take the NBA by storm.
True. I didn't expect Yao to go up strong in the 4th quarter either when the game is on the line. Looks like we were both right.
