Just because he went on black friday doesn't mean he's cheap or that he went trying to look for an item on sale. I agree that he'd probably rather have an assistant get it for him or order it online to avoid crowds, so the fact that he went personally to get it on the busiest shopping day of the year tells me he needed them that day and right away.They may not even be for himself.
I don't leave my house for shopping anymore. Double click and its done unless I'm buying diamonds for the wife. Somethings you need to see in person. Otherwise, the traffic and shear craziness dealing with shooping after turkey day.
