Rumor has it the loser of this game maybe invited to play in the Texas Bowl. Notre Dame is also rumored to be the other team invited. It would be nice to see the Coogs get some revenge on the Irish ('79 Cotton Bowl), but I know Liberty Bowl is a better bowl game. Go Coogs!
is it safe to assume this game will not be sold out an hour prior to kick off? i've got a couple of rice friends in town, and since i'm a coog this would be the perfect place to meet up.
There should be around 40-45k people there, which for Rice is a huge crowd. Since they tarped off the endzones a couple of years ago, the capacity is down to about 55k (from 70k), so yeah, there will be some open seats
wow...certainly waaaay over my expectations. was gonna take my g/f, who doesn't even like football, but i'm not sure now if it's gonna cost $70.

Is this game streaming anywhere for free? It's not on channelsurfing.net CBS College Sports is a ripoff.
In addition to claiming the C-USA West Title and giving us a shot at the Liberty Bowl. We are also beating a team on UT's schedule....helping in our small way to thwart their slim and non National Championship hopes. Go Coogs!
Just got back from the game. Rice dominated the Coogs. Let there be no doubt who is the best college football team in the city: It's without question the Rice Owls!
