Yesterday was a frustrating loss but its Thanksgiving and we are still Rockets' fans so what things are you thankful about the Rockets? I'm thankful we have Yao Ming. Sure he's not Wilt Chamberlain or Bill Russell but he is the most talented super tall player ever. Consider how many teams out there have a 7 footer shooting technical free throws, or a center for that matter. I'm thankful for T-Mac. So he's lost a step and is injured but its a thing of beauty to watch him drive and his sharp passing. I'm thankful Shane Battier's tenacious D and tough attitude. I'm thankful for Carl Landry's energy and joy he brings to the game. I'm thankful that for the most part the Rockets have always been classy on and off the court. Finally I'm thankful the Rockets are Houston's team.
I am thankful our team isn't like the: -Knicks -Clippers -Bobcats -T-Wolves -Wizards -Bucks -Pacers -Bulls -76ers -Heat -Raptors -Nets -Thunder -Grizzlies -Kings -Warriors -Magic B/C we actually have a shot at winning a title. And that we aren't like the: -Jazz -Mavs B/C they just plain old SUCK!
I'm thankful that the Pacers game finally showed me what we actually were and where we actually would be. I'm thankful the Rockets timely awaked me to the fact that this team wouldn't go as far as where they were expected. I'm thankful that it wouldn't be too frustrating and disgusting for me when something happens again after April, 2009. (just like what happened to us every year) I'm thankful.
thankful for... Aaron Brooks' growth Yao's back to good health Ron Artest's intensity Carl Landry's athleticism TMac getting some rest and hopefully improving Luis Scola's smarts and savvy Shane Battier back in the line up Chuck Hayes' D Brent Barry's 3 (it'll return) Rafer Alston's steady hand Rick Adelman's proven ability to meld talent together the many awesome contributors on clutchfans Fritz working for rockets.com Jonathan Feigen and so much more happy thanksgiving, clutchfans!!
I am thankful for Daryl Morey. He hasn't whiffed on a single draft pick yet. How amazing is that? Three years and not a single miss so far. Our GM is batting freaking 1.000 in the draft. He's parlayed picks in two years into Shane Battier and Ron Artest to give the Rockets the best chance to contend in the T-Mac Yao era; otherwise I bet he'd have gone with the upside. And fwiw it's way too early for Dorsey, remember what Brooks and Landry were doing at this point last year? What is he going to do when he actually gets some payroll flexibility? I can't wait to see.
i'm thankful for clutch bear, who's the only guy i love to see on court in every game court without asking he to score.
Inside sources say Clutch Bear is thinking about "shutting it down" for a few months due to off season surgery. What a douche.
Well I'm an Aussie so obviously don't do thanks giving, but I'll jump on board just for my fellow clutch fans. I'm thankful that we can p*ss and moan about out team when we have one of the best records in the league. I'm thankful that we are wondering whats up with not one, not two, but three of the all star caliber players we are lucky enough to have on this team. I'm thankful that someone who made NBA2K9 thought Yao would turn into some kind of unstoppable superman over the off season! I'm thankful that I'm a Rockets fan and not a low life, bandwagoning Laker fan, a loud mouthed, self important Knicks fan, a backwards, dim witted, a-hole Jazz fan or a semi r****ded, jackass Mavs fan.
I'm thankful that we have hope to at least have a shot at a title. I'm thankful, this team has been competitive consistently. I'm thankful that we have players that are easy to root for. I'm thankful Van Gundy's D stayed with the team. I'm thankful we have the best fan site in the league. I'm thankful they changed the uniforms this last time!
Things I'm thankful for: - Luther Head staying on the bench - we can only improve - we are deep enough to go thru stretches with T-Mac on the bench - we have the best Center in the league - our defense - we play hard on both ends even when shots aren't falling
