So, what should the Rockets do!!

Draft the Best player available in the Draft when it comes up, or should they draft for team need.

The Rockets most pressing need is: WINS!!!! and a new stadium

in the draft though I tink we need a big man to replace Hakeem in a couple of years.

Is it any coincidence that the Bull is one of only two NBA players with a team named after him? I dont think so!!!!

    *chorus*

-Another star to go along with Francis.

    -A new stadium.

-Certain players to improve in the offseason.

-everything that could possibly go the rockets way to go the rockets way.

    -that is all.

Don't ever, ever, ever, ever draft according to need in the lottery. Otherwise, you're likely to end up as the answer to a trivia question.

I'd almost be willing to draft a PG, even, if he were the best player remaining. After all, Francis is beginning to look more and more like a 2.

Whether you draft according to need or for talent alone, based on past draft performance of GM's, you'll end up as trivia. The Lottery outside some real studs has been a crapshoot at best. No matter who you picked, there almost always somebody better you could have drafted.

Easy answer to a simple question...draft for talent. Always take the best player available...who that player may be is the hard part. Another reason its called a lottery...a bunch of the draft is chance.

IMO, the most pressing need for this team is some offense in the post. Since Cato's the center, that means the Rocks most need a power forward who can give the team some offense as the third option while still playing respectable D and grabbing his share of boards. That doesn't seem to be that easy to come by, and it doesn't look like there will be someone like that available in the draft.

As far as what we should do with our pick, I say pick the best player available or trade it for what we need. I like the latter if it's a fair deal.
