I just read that the Blazers fans are getting together to buy 50 tickets for local kids to attend a game. What a great idea - should Clutchfans try to do the same? http://myespn.go.com/blogs/truehoop/0-36-92/Tuesday-Bullets.html http://www.blazersedge.com/2008/11/25/670038/blazersedge-night-announce
Judging from the amount of people that post here and the empty seats at Toyota center seems like they (Rockets fans in Houston) have a tough enough time buying tickets for themselves let alone others.
I would be willing to contribute. I am a Big Brother and just as a suggestion, I know the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization would really appreciate it.
How about some of the people in the rockets organization that post here... hook it up with some tickets for the kids.
12/29 v Washington? Should be an easy win, its close to the holidays, plus, a Monday night game against a no-hope team shouldn't be to hard to buy tickets for.
I've never done anything charitable in my life. But I think now is as good a time as any to start. Count me in.
from someone who has worked with non profit afterschool programs, this is a great idea. I say up the ante and make the purchase for less tickets, but better seats. I always wanted kids to get a chance to sit courtside at a game.
