    You guys don't understand the context of "kill yourself"

    BBS poster Nomar was fond of saying that to people who made small errors in judgment, so it has become a fond saying among a few us.

    Think of it as a more tongue-in-cheek way of saying FAIL!

    emmitt is WAY worse than clyde

    i heard the 'duce staley' gaff last night. I was just sitting there waiting, cause you could hear Stu Scott just itching to get a "Deuce MCCALLister" name drop in there.

    I'm amazed how they give commentary jobs to anybody who was a former star in the league. So many other professional sports casters and former NFL players who can do a better job then Emmitt.

    The same reason why Clyde Drexler has a job. It's name recognition. People will remember it was Emmit Smith on last night who said blah blah blah, not the backup retired punter from the 86 Patriots. This thread is proof.

    Not all former stars survived the sportscaster role. Joe Montana sucked hard when he was behind the mic, and rightfully got the boot.
