I'd take him, we could then implement a wildcat formation to throw other teams off. Put Vick in at QB with Slaton and Johnson on the field. We'd have so pass/run options.
Absolutely, positively, no way in all hell would I put him on my team. He is a cruel, inhumane individual who can rot in effing hell. And I'm allergic to dogs.
If the Texans signed Vick, I would get rid of every piece of Texans memorabilia I own, and start pulling for the Redskins again like I did before Houston had a team.
Wow, I didn't know some of y'all feel that strongly against Vick. I said it before but if he can show some of his old form, I'd love to have him. The guy did lead the Falcons to a playoff win over the Packers at Lambeau at a time when it was almost unheard of.
Vick is the Iverson of the NFL. Even at his peak, he's not going to take you to a Super Bowl. He's a marvel, but running QBs and ball-hogging PGs are historically a bad, bad, bad idea.
I think Vick would make a great tailback with his speed and open field running. And then you have the novelty of having 2 QBs on the field. The halfback pass or little pitches would be a constant threat. If I were a coach, I'd take a chance on rehabbing him back onto the football field as a multipurpose threat and gamebreaker. He is faster and more elusive than 90% of the running backs in the NFL right now.
Picking up a QB that will get booed immediately by the local fans would not be a great idea. You would lose many season ticket holders who are dog lovers as well. Bad idea for the Texans, but I can see him go to the Raiders.
He wouldn't be booed in Houston if he was a Texan. Lakers fans didn't boo KOBE at all during his rape trial.
I read he was making 12 cents an hour now. 12 cents an hour, that's slavery yo!(actual line from tweener in P.B) It's called prison, yo.
Ray Lewis didnt kill anybody, if he is guilty of anything it would be witholding info on who the shooter was.
NO? But you welcomed a psycho like Artest with open arms and now cheer his every move. Why should Vick be any different - I mean it's a little late to start considering quaint ideas like morality and acceptable behavior in a professional athlete isn't it? After all, isn't the new mantra "Winning Is The Only Thing That Matters? I was under the impression that ideals like "character" were irrelevant as long as a guy could help the team "win".
I don't know about dada...but it's not the moral stuff that would keep me from wanting vick. i don't think vick was that good to begin with...particularly as a passer...and i can't believe he got any better in prison. i'd certainly give him a look at WR, but i'm guessing he wouldn't be interested in that.
I never wanted Artest, I said that the only way the Rockets should get him is he comes for basically nothing. Well..... As for Vick....no. DD
Oh, I agree with you completely: he does indeed suck big time and you're spot on about him not getting a lot of reps in the joint.
